I am only running 35's and I haven't calibrated speedo yet because there was rumor's that it'd automatically calibrate on the 5th Gens however I've put enough miles on it now to believe that it's never going to happen lol.. I'll probably just order the Rough Country calibrator.
Finally installed the damn full rear wheel liners! I have no idea what happened to the extra screws that were suppose to be in the box.. I couldn't find them so it is missing a screw or 2 on each side but they told me they are shipping me out replacements screws so I'll be able to button that up...
Awesome! I almost always try to reach out to companies via Facebook first now as I like the instant responses plus it feels more like you're actually talking to a real person!
Nope, unfortunately it wouldn't, UNLESS I had a Camper shell, then it'd work. That system is based on a box that is 20" tall, the decked system is 12" tall so that would put the box way up past the tailgate. So to change my answer, Yes, it technically could work but it'd be ugly lol.
Only issue with that was the only racks that work with the Tonneau cover use a 3" bracket to get around the Tonneau cover rails/ mounting. So I'd be having to run two 3" brackets which creates weak points. I'm still considering going with a Camper Shell/ Canopy/ Cap/ Topper (Too many names...
Well.. I was offered a deal I couldn't pass up so I'm currently running a Decked system.. I'll be selling it when I'm done building out my custom setup but for now it's doing a great job storing my stuff and keeping the wife off my *** now that it's not all stacked up all over the garage!
Way too much to setup! I'm looking for something faster.. Currently designing as we speak what I hope will be what I want.. an enclosed box for the bed with a swing down door that has a bed slide in it that I can build out to how I want it.
Here's a couple pictures of the shakedown test run from this past weekend. I ended up hosting a Texas Hill Country 2 night trip and had 19 vehicles show up. I learned a few things I didn't like about my setup so it was a successful trip. Can't wait for the Roof Top Tent to be here in a month so...
I seen those hitch tents, they look cool but I'm trying to find something to permanently mount and leave there year round, I can't imagine traveling around with that big sail on the rear everywhere, plus it completely blocks rear view mirror view.
I've washed my truck since the day after I brought it home brand new (Rained the day I bought it) and have washed it almost every other day since then. (I'm a district manager of car washes) I've never had any issues with the shark fin, or scratches.. then again I'm also a car guy AND the one...
That is my biggest struggle at the moment. I've literally spent the entire day on the phone and online trying to find a tonneau cover that works. There is absolutely zero that will work because of the brace near the rear of the bed. I may be pulling this one off and going with a different rack...
Check out the build thread in my signature, I showed pictures of how I installed them on the back side of the console.
