My first set of OEM blades lasted me 4-5 years, loved them, essentially streak free the whole time. I bought another factory set and very happy with them. This is the only set of blades I didn't go aftermarket with because they are so good.
Pretty rare, awesome to see. I follow Turbo Transport, another UK based RAM owner, who uses it for his luxury car hauler business, also has a black RAM 5th gen, usually hauling an enclosed trailer with a Bugatti or Ferrari across the channel.
Is your mpg calculations based on the UK 4.5l...
Corrosion X will work, its a simple spray, similar to WD-40, but more than a water repellent, it actively neutralizes rust and prevents it from coming back. Also great for electronics, protecting them even from salt water.
We have used Corrosion X for decades in the boating and RC...
Assuming the dealership (or you) adjust the tire air pressures correctly, which is 55F/45R instead of the likely 65F delivery pressure, they it should be comfortable but slightly firm due to the off-road oriented spring ratings and shocks.
The delivery air pressure is high to prevent flat...
I can see both sides, because you will hurt your customers resale if you lower msrp, in that case they should really increase incentives like they did in the past, I bought my truck with 25% off msrp, which was standard back before covid near the end of the year.
However, when it comes to...
Good point on more people buying the cheaper vehicle, though considering the average RAM is now approaching $60K in value, I think the reality is somewhere in the middle. My point however is, the more you pay, the more upset you get when it has issues, especially when the cheaper one doesn't...
Sure, but depends on the vehicle. My wifes Lexus LX is over 100K, has every gadget imaginable and hasn't had a single issue.
That's not my point, I'm just noting that human nature is that if you pay more, you get more upset when they have issues. To say you don't get bothered more when...
Sure, though quality and reliability are often different things. It may feel like a smear campaign, especially since we own them, but people clearly have issues. Is it out of proportion to reality? Likely, as is the whole Toyota Tundra and Tacoma thing. The truth I'm sure is somewhere in the...
Hmmmm, maybe? I expect both to be reliable, I agree with that. But I think I'll definitely be more upset if I bought an expensive vehicle and it's having similar issues over a cheaper one.
Another common scenario, if I own both a cheap and expensive one at the same time, and the expensive...
I know it's hard to look at right now, but how do you improve? Stellantis is in the news right now, and not for the right reasons. Even the biggest cheerleaders are complaining for a reason.
Yes, both quality and reliability expectations.
You think someone paying $70,000 for a new truck and having issues right off the bat is going to forgive it more than if they paid $40,000 for a different vehicle?
Factor in the lowest customer dealership service ratings in the industry, and you...
Majority of oil (milkshake) on coolant caps and coolant dip sticks is the oil cooler leak, especially with your model year.
Once confirmed, and you get the cooler replaced and the coolant flushed, hopefully have everything back to normal.
Did you check your engine oil cap?
As HSKR R/T mentioned, you could just have a bad oil cooler, common issue especially pre-2021 models have the older style oil cooler, not sure what year you have?
Check your engine oil cap as well, hopefully it's fine.
How long were you driving at this point? The oil pressure seems a bit high for a hot idle, but I guess that depends on how cold it is.
Your trans temp is going to be low on cold days without constant driving, the oil temp and coolant does seem on the low side as well, but if it's less than...
Not sure if this is actually normal, it may have been there the whole time and only now I'm focused on it, but I notice a sound from the rear of my truck when putting the transmission in reverse, its a mild "ting" or very low "clink" sound, almost like the differential has some slack that is...
Good info. That's why if I get Mopar stuff on eBay, I generally get them from Mopar dealership parts departments selling on YouTube.
Make sure to give a negative review to the seller, so people see he sold counterfeits. Either he will refund you, maybe he thought they were real, or he won't...
I love doing my own oil changes. I don't do it to save money, but it does save money compared to dealership services.
The only up front cost for you is a set of ramps, I use Rhino 16,000 GVW ramps, $60 at Advance Auto is the cheapest I've seen them. You can get 12,000 GVW at Walmart for $50...
