The size of the rim shouldn't matter. The overall OD of the rim and tire as well as the rim offset will determine if you have any clearance issues. Most aftermarket rims will have more negative offset and stick out a little further.

Not all Shell Rotella 5W40 meets there specification. You must confirm that the proper spec is listed. It’s crazy but now each manufacturer has particular specs. You can’t just grab any matching weight.

They shows shavings in the pan. I’m not sure you can make any intelligent failure analysis without opening the engine up and measuring tolerances etc. Hard to believe but this is what they do I guess
