Nice! I'm replacing my 22s with 20s, so prob going with 285/65/20s. They're all pretty close. Online, Toyos and Recon's within $5 of each other, MT's about $40 more each.. I've got an acquaintance who owns a tire shop, gave a a quote on the Nittos a little below the online price, havent...
They are on my list.. Being a numbers dork, I actually put all 3 on a spreadsheet. The Toyos weigh the least, the MT's weigh the most. The Nitto's have the longest warranty (but only by 5k over the other 2). The MT's cost the most, the Toyos and Nittos are almost exactly the same price. It...
I had the Recons on my '21 1500, and was very happy with them. Will likely be going with them again when I upgrade my '22, between those and the Toyo A/T III
1. Yes- the 3 dash speakers (L, R, C), 4 front door, 2 rear door, 2 rear headliner, and sub all have individual wiring. No need to rewire any of them.
2. no diff for etorque. My last truck was etorque, the stereo wiring is the same, and ran the same amps
You’re on the right track,as far as what you need. A few pointers.
- you don’t need to re-run any speaker wire for the doors, the 3.5s in the doors are wired separately from the 6x9s With the HK system.
-unless you’re planning to run a 2500+ watt sub amp, you don’t need a new battery...
you need at least the anc bypass (or cut the wires to bypass the anc), and a line output converter. You won’t find something exactly like what net audio has on Amazon, since he designed and makes those custom for the Ram, but if you know what you’re doing, you can diy it a little cheaper.
ok, so that one I linked would do exactly what you need. you plug it in to the ANC module, and it gives you a signal out to your subwoofer amp, using the LOC that’s included
do not buy the Amazon one. It’s not compatible, it’s for older models only. If you get the PAC interface, you need the .R2 model with the extra harness - so only buy one that specifically calls out ‘22 models and newer.
if you’re only adding a sub, you don’t need the Ap4-ch41. When I...
Did you try reversing the polarity, I.e. swapping the positive and negative connections? some Of those metra connectors are known to have the pos and negative wires backwards, so the positive from the stereo goes to the negative of the speaker, and vice versa. not sure that this is your...
I painted it myself, I’m not 100% on the color any more, but I think it was this one - got it at Auto Zone.
Dupli-Color Perfect Match Universal Touch Up Paint Blue Pearl Spray
I can confirm that they fit in all locations.. the only place I’ve seen anyone get a single is on here, for the same reason, lol. Maybe check the 5th gen rams FB group, too. Good news is that they are pretty cheap, so it won’t cost an arm and a leg if you do have to get two pair. (then...
Following..my xm has started cutting out for 5 seconds at a time or so over the past week. And it’s happening multiple times in a row, then will be ok for a while, but then happens again. Not a signal issue, as it works perfectly fine through the app on my phone, it’s specific to the truck...
You can't (well, shouldn't) try and run some speakers off the factory amp, and others off an aftermarket amp. The factory amp for the Alpine and HK system has the crossovers built into it, so certain frequencies go to the dash, doors, sub, etc, and you can't change any of that. So if you try...
I think this is the one… just double check at least a couple when you are setting up to be sure.. a 9-volt battery will tell you what speaker each wire is connected to
pac harness… there are three plugs going into the stock amp (two 22 pin, and one 10 pin). You unplug those, connect them to the pac harness, then plug the pac harness into the stock amp where those plugs were. Super simple. The pac harness has wires coming off of it for each speaker (which are...
Weird! But good to know.
yes - the HK amp is under the drivers seat. No need to take it out. If you get the harness from PAC, it bypasses the ANC, and gives you a hookup for all the speakers without needing to remove the stock amp. the PAC harness plugs directly into the stock amp
