I bought a Motofab half inch top hat spacer. It’s slips right over the top of the shock mount. It was 20 bucks off Amazon. I have the off-road package and the technician and I were surprised as to how much of a visual difference it made. If you want a little more height just throw that on top...
275/65/20 definitely will not need spacers So you are good there. Tire cost in that size is usually less than the other sizes. I may suggest for you to take a look at the new Toyo AT3. It will definitely take care of what you described and is relatively light at 52 pounds. But I do not...
33.2x11.69 Is what that tire officially is. I believe it would work. You would want to make sure you have the truck programmed for the new size. Your spare tire would need to be upgraded (275/70/18)
The discount tire website says it will not fit because it is not a factory tire size. Talk...
Yes and no. If you’re keeping the factory wheels the offset makes the tire uncomfortably close to the upper control arm with the wider sizes. Also some 35’s are 34.5 and some are 34.8. It can fluctuate.
275/65 (34 x11) will fit no problem. 285/65 (34.5 x 11.5) will fit but will be a bit...
The stock tires are 32 inches with or without the off-road package. 285/60/20 is 33.5 inches in diameter. So upgrading to that size will increase the ground clearance by 3/4 of an inch but it will decrease your wheel gap by 3/4 of an inch.
The size is perfect even for a non-off-road package...
Unfortunately a 35 inch tire will not fit under the bed. A 33 will fit with the shielding in place. If you remove that you can barely squeeze in a 34 inch tire.
295/60/20 275/65/20 and 285/70/18 are about max. One guy on here claims he got a 295/70/18 jammed up there but I don’t know that for...
You might take a little bit of a mileage hit with the Falkens. It won’t be much. They will do great out there in the terrain. Super familiar with driving through Nevada. I was just there last week.
The only time you need to recalibrate is if you are going to a different diameter. The rebel tires are 33.2 inches tall and yours are 32 inches. Just set the wheels to the side and wait until you get the Falkens, Install them on the rebel wheels and all will be well.
Then snap a couple photos...
275/65/20 is a 34 inch tire… Is that what you have or did you perhaps go with 275/60/20? The 275/60 is a true 33.
I have heard about the largest that will fit is a 34.3 (295/70/18) but I can not confirm that. When my truck was on the lift having its oil change done I grabbed a 295/60/20 which...
You’re absolutely right the side walls are thick. I used to have customers feel the thickness of the sidewall versus other tires we had for sale at the dealership. It helped me sell and awful lot of them. Falken Makes a good tire. Have Falkens on my wife’s Mini too.
Nitto does make a good tire...
Lots of off-roading for us here in Idaho! Have not taken my new truck out yet because of the 32 inch P rated tires on 20 inch wheels. To me that’s just begging for trouble. This was my last truck coming back from eighth Street above Boise. You might notice the lower valance in the bed, oops...
You’re right it’s not much of a difference on the speedometer but for the transmission shift points and ABS traction control it is a huge difference. That’s really where you get the benefit of recalibrating. The computers are thinking your wheels are rotating at a faster rate but they’re not...
