The app I use doesn’t use the truck gps. I was confused the OP meant either the phone or the OBD reader. I am still trying to figure it out and want to make sure once tire size is entered that I don’t have to keep the obd module plugged in.
Theblet, this part I don’t understand “Fine tune with a GPS app on your Phone WITHOUT plugging the USB into the truck. If speedometer is off, repeat as necessary.” Do you mean not plugging the phone into the truck?
So just so I am clear once tire size is set via Jscan app you can unplug the obd reader and return the plugs to the OEM location? It’s not like a Tazer that has to be married and/or stay plugged in? Has it worked well with 2023’s with the digital dash? Tazer has me nervous with a 2023.
I looked my OEM unit over and it didn’t have any bumpers on it. I wonder if it is different depending on which unit fits your truck. I bought the B model I think
So after going to a larger tire I decided to jump into the TPM rabbit hole to see if I needed to adjust my limits. I found this comparison site that lets you put your stock size and pressure in then it calculates your new pressure with the new tire. Turns out my new tires are only a few psi off...
Here are the 285/55’s. On a non leveled truck I think the 295/50’s would be perfect. If you are level/lifting it the 285/55 looks great imho. I got alot more sidewall and extra height without any fit hassle. The 285/55 would likely also fit a non leveled truck but they might rub in entry/exit...
Had no problem size wise. It was merely that I bought a tire from another vendor. Wasn’t happy about it but they were honest at least and the argument was sound if I was in their place. Other shop tried to push me into an alignment job even though the truck was brand new and just had one last...
I saw a guy do it. The truck looked great. I ordered a set and tried to install last week. The shop had a terrible reputation and they wouldn’t do it as requested so I could leave town on time for a hunting trip. I took the tires home and tried to get another shop to put them on today but they...
So their shortest cable is 16 feet. I measured and figured between 12-15 was more than enough. How long is the standard cable? Tucking away an extra 5 feet is much easier than an extra 10.
Has anyone ever tried to shorten the rear cable?
Update: ok so I emailed FitcamX as they seemed to be responsive to another posting where a guy modded his camera. We will see what they say about cutting and splicing the cable to shorten it.
Ordered 295/50r22 KO2’s. It’s a D range 33.6 or .7 inch tire depending on who publishes the spec and less weight that the E range Nitto and AT3’s in the same size. I am amazed more people don’t run them. Another OP from an outside FB group posted pics of his on stock 22 night rims w/no level and...
