It's not a question of if painted bumpers will chip but when. PPF is absolutely required to keep them looking new. I got mine done with 25 miles on the truck for $600 BUT they also did the front of the hood, door edges, & under the door handles. Absolutely money well spent.
The first time I...
I also flashed the firmware and then upgraded to 1.2.3 which works better overall. You have to make sure you're on the latest app to update the firmware.
Unplugging works for now. With the next AAWireless app, they are implementing a fix for the long USB power after shutting off the truck. Definitely looking forward to that.
Update:
While out driving I tried using the Android voice control via the steering wheel button. Button worked fine but obviously my voice was not getting through to the phone. Played around with settings and MTP with retry and pass-through now works for everything including voice commands.
I signed up last year for the Indigogo AAWireless adapter for Android Auto and wanted to provide some feedback and tips. FWIW, I also had the CPlay2air Carplay adapter briefly before I traded in the iPhone 12 for a Samsung S21. That's a long story but I'm so much happier with Android.
TL;DR...
No. You lose the ability to heat (think you want it warmer than it is outside). With the valve/clamp your system still cools to the setpoint and then stops the compressor. You won't freeze. Example: it's 85 outside and you have it set to 70. The system will cool to 70 and then maintain it.
Interested in hearing how your experience goes there as I'm needing the same and have been taking the truck there after an awful experience at Demontrond in Conroe.
Well shoot. Mine just started doing this. Had it almost 3 years now and yesterday discovered the GPS has no birds and zero confidence. Guess I'm off to the dealer for new hardware.
I've had the valve for 2 years with no issue and none expected. There are semi's that have this from the factory.
Now if you go the clamp route you will have hose failure at some point. The valve is inexpensive and easy, especially if you already have the clamp to keep coolant from running out...
Mine did "fine" until I hit the 99 loop outside of Houston two summers back. It was 96 degrees and we were doing 90+ (everyone was - it's a tollway). I started out fine but after a few minutes I knew something wasn't right. The cabin just kept getting hotter and the AC was on auto with recirc...
No idea. That was a data point from the Ram launch on "why eTorque." Maybe it was in the same bucket as other features that didn't make it to production.
Worked in sales/marketing for 27 years at a PC company, and took early retirement in Dec 2019. Then proceeded to put 21K miles on the motorcycle during my "Covid sabbatical" - absolutely awesome and capped it off with a two week trip from Texas to Idaho and back.
Then started working for one of...
After reading about the possible overfilling, I got all excited that it might fix my odd shifting. I Bingled it and found this document that outlined the fill/check procedure and tightening torque.
Followed the procedure and dang if that exhaust cross pipe isn't just begging you to touch it due...
I had hanging folders in there for about a week after I got the truck. Then I had to remove them since I could hear them slide back and forth on every acceleration and brake. Never did get around to figuring out some sort of rubber or foam insert to sit on the rails to eliminate the sliding.
You might check out this thread on your tailgate. If it's the same issue, you can fix it permanently with a rubber washer.

That's what we need - a third party to start offering replacement metal lids for the DT RamBox models. How about paint to match options? Aluminum diamond plate Might look amazing or dreadful)? Maybe a reinforcement plate that uses your existing parts?
Someone with metal fab experience could run...
If your LEDs are not causing you any issues then I'd consider there to be no issue. It's technically guaranteed that everything electrical causes some RF emissions - look at any of your personal electronics and read the FCC Class B warning. BUT if they emit such a low amount that it does not...
I was following another member's idea but I couldn't get the tile sample to stay stuck to the frame so I moved the camera to the glass on the passenger side of the center window. Makes the image slightly off center but fine with me. It's out of the way and will not cause any issues.
