    Mopar bed step.

I don't know what "active safety group" is exactly, but I have all the safety stuff on my Limited and the side step 82215289AB does not block or interfere with anything. However, I will tell you that an aftermarket hitch step does indeed interfere with the sensors though. Salesman may need a...

    Thermostat gone wild

The puny AC will never cope with that.

    A/C Performance

Quoting my own message :) I did follow-up and check out the two other cars in my driveway today since the weather was fairly warm, close to yesterday's temps. I was a bit shocked by the results: 1. 15 year old Acura SUV with 169K miles - with a minute of starting the car with the AC on Max...

Bed Step Install Doc and Pics

This bed step arrived today from moparamerica.com and the install is not terribly difficult although would be much simpler with a lift and two people, neither of which I had :). It weighs nearly 20 lbs with hardware and if you are doing the project yourself under the truck on your back it is a...

    A/C Performance

I've been reading this thread for a while, interested to see if the AC was going to be a continuing issue with these trucks... So today was the first semi-warm day here since purchasing the truck (8/31 build) It maxed out today around 88-89 in N TX, and not particularly humid. I had an...

hitch step drives rear sensors crazy, I should have thought of that

I tried an aftermarket stainless steel hitch step (the little mopar flip-out pedal is on order) that was, granted, fairly wide and, while it was handy, it caused the back-up sensors to stay on solid alert. I wasn't willing to give up the functionality (i.e. turn off) of the sensors on all the...

    Well, this is embarassing

Being in the software business for many years, I have seen many fully EFL (English first language) card-carrying 'merican software developers deliver code with grammar or spelling issues. Stuff happens when you are trying to move quickly. Still amazed what slips through the QA process though.

eTorque: 6 Things You Probably Didn't Know

I am really impressed and happy with eTorque on mine. I notice that as soon as I even begin to release brake pressure, it comes to life. I am hoping my mpg comes up after break-in, in the high 13s now around town.

So I called FCA about Harman Kardon system.

@ExcursionDiesel, my unregulated ears concur with your findings. Thanks for doing the real work. Badly in need of multi-band eq control.

    Well, this is embarassing

Aww, enough. Give 'em a brake.

    HK Rear Seat Sound

Yes. It is more pronounced when playing a CD for me, and the music choice does make a difference. But I have shifted the fader far forward to compensate with -9 on bass eq. I often have a grandkid in the rear seat and worry the sub is gonna cause a nosebleed :)

    Horrific Gas Mileage Hemi eTorque

Granted, I am still in the "break-in period" but even my granny mode and all my hypermiling techniques, I cannot do better than high 13s MPG. I have not had a highway trip yet. In my limited experience, the eco light coincides with MDS - I can hear the difference pretty clearly.

Is your Dealership tracking your truck without your knowledge?

Well then this will be an interesting test. I’m sure FCA and corporate read this stuff. All of the manufacturers read the social stuff. If they give a **** they’ll reach out and touch someone, maybe me. However my recent experience with a dealer issue with my wife’s car demonstrated clearly...

Is your Dealership tracking your truck without your knowledge?

Nothing to repo as I did not finance it. And it’s trivial to find and remove in 2 minutes.

Is your Dealership tracking your truck without your knowledge?

Anyone purchasing a car lately seen any similar shenanigans like this at your local dealer? Long story, but I think it makes for an interesting read. When I started shopping for trucks, one of my nearby dealers had the little “local dealer add-on” sticker addendum that included a couple of...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

2019 LImited on the lot, in the color, interior, and gizmos that I was looking for. Thanks to @Ezshooter here for the education on area dealers and their pricing. A day of back and forth email negotiations. Test drove a Limited a few weeks ago for a short drive but did not visit another until...

    HK Rear Seat Sound

I find the sub to be completely overpowering. I have it cut all the way down on eq and it still is overpowering an otherwise reasonable audio set-up. My build is after the TSB cut-off so it's not that problem. Ridiculously boomy. Feels like it rattles everyone at the stoplights, including me :)

    Anyone using a retractable cover?

I've been on the fence on which cover will work for me and I think I have settled on the Peragon aluminum folding cover painted to match the ivory on my truck for a couple of reasons... hard locking, possibly some better heat control of stuff in the bed during summers being white vs black like...
