Curious how the boards are getting caught in the car wash and what, design wise, might be done to prevent them getting torn off if one accidentally forgets. Not that I am going to try and test it myself :) Yeah, I know: retract them.
I have gone through a few times with the boards out but...
I wanted something that wasn't black (heat rejection, potentially paint matched), easy to remove and store by myself in the truck, and secure (hard locking, no cord to coat hanger open, and cut proof), and was a no drill installation, that I could install by myself. I went with a Peragon...
Mine is the 12 and I've been using the latest (iOS) Uconnect and Guardian apps without a problem. The prior Uconnect app was not reliable for remote services, and a lot of people reported issues.
I have a couple of different OBD dongles here I could test (one dealer tracker, the others [not...
I don't think it does this, but having an auto-lock option - if you walk away with the key the truck will lock itself up.
My other car does this and has trained my behavior.. I embarrassingly often forget to push the lock button or the fob.

My vehicles couldn't be farther apart on the spectrum and I think there is room for innovation...
I'd have gone for Ramboxes if there was an identical truck on the lot with them when I was buying. But they were unobtainium on in-stock inventory for 100s of miles.
I too cannot seem to get the uconnect iPhone app to now complete a remote start successfully (after working well for weeks).
The mopar.com site via browser does seem to be able to correctly issue a remote start.
I searched the pdf Ram manuals and it looks like that warning didn't make it to the factory manuals that I could see.
I'll keep mine stowed from now on.
If you spend the time to do a bit of googling and research, you find the 2017+ plethora of OBD-connected passive trackers put on by the dealers is just the another dealer profit center like window tint, VIN etching, paint protection, etc. But a little creepier since there is always a data push...
