I started with a cheap HF mig welder. Changed wire to good wire and lots of YouTube videos later I could get metal to stick to metal without fear of it falling apart.
After a few years i decided to upgrade to a better machine. I got a Hobart MVP 120/240. Before I tried to make my first weld I...
Xpel PPF on nose and headlights, small tint strip across top of windshield, Xpel ceramic paint protection on body, wheels, and windows and Schildmeier rear post hole covers.
saturday Bakflip MX4 goes on.
thats awesome! I’m with you about modifying things. Luckily I have the 86 which allows me to get all that out of my system so I can keep the 85 as stock and original as possible. They are fun little cars for sure!
I have standard mirrors on my 2024 1500 limited. In the upper left corner, of the drivers mirror, there is a small convex mirror. Is this mirror manually adjustable by hand? Before I go and start pushing and shoving on things I thought I’d ask. Wife would kill me if I broke stuff on our week...
Shared some in the new owner introduction thread.
Our CRXs. Mine is the all red 1986 CRX SI and the two tone is my wife’s 1985 CRX.

The 85 is stock with 75k original miles, we are doing a little restoration on it as the original owner towed it behind their RV...
thank you and I have towed it yet, have to get to mileage limits but I’ll be really interested to see. Baseline is the 9.5 the Tacoma got pulling it empty.
happy too 😂. Teaser here and will go do a full post in the appropriate thread.
1986 CRX SI with a 2006 K24 in it. Car is my street legal track toy. Have owned it since 1992. Car weighs 2035 lbs and makes 220 hp and 200 ftlbs at the tires. Also own an all original 1985 CRX with 75k miles on...
that’s crazy! selfishly Glad you didn’t 🤣.
we actually had been speaking to the dealer up in Prescott an two. They had one in white with the same interior and sold it the night before.
Wife found this one and we ran over to see it. It really does check all the boxes so far. Honestly...
Brand new owner, owned the truck for a week now, and did first mod today!
slid a black piece of card stock over vin so you can’t see it from outside the truck. Cost $0.00 as we had the card stock and install time was 1 minute including test fit, cut to shorten length, and reinstall.
after...
I think I see the confusion. I’m only ever hauling my cargo trailer, not an camper, that is pictured above.
totally follow you on adding in all the extras.
Mine says 1297. I’m adding a MX4 trifold and based on info it’s about 65lbs, so that puts me at 1232. Minus me 185, leaves me 1047.
so trailer will be about 4200lbs loaded, meaning about 420lbs of tongue weight leaving 627lbs.
unless I’m missing something looks like I should be okay and far...
Willworkfortruck, I have the air ride suspension so I thought that would level the truck so I wouldn’t need airlift or sumos. You Are right lots of great info in the towing forum. i have seen a lot of videos and posts that 9-10 seems to be common on the lighter camper trailers. Can’t overcome...
Thanks guys. Getting a new vehicle is like getting a new house, there’s all those things that you did to that last one you have to do again.
Here is my list as of right now.
- Next week clear bra nose, tint top of windshield and ceramic coat
- BakFlip MX4, really liked the on I had on the...
Found this forum during a sudden search for a new truck, so had to join.
