Working on finding some 18" wheels for snows as well but nothing has popped up locally yet. Going to keep looking since spending a lot on winter boots doesn't seem to make much sense
2021's are no longer available for order, and I don't think I've seen that the prices on the 2022's are out yet. I could be wrong, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am
Edited to add: That said, it might be worth an email to Aaron down in Louisiana to see what the '22 would run...
How was the installation? I really like the look of those or the blade ones from Tyger but I'm not super handy and am wondering about trying to install them myself versus taking them somewhere to have it done (assuming the truck is every built haha)
When did you place your order, and did you receive a buyers order and build sheet from your salesperson at the time you ordered? I tried searching posts to find the info but didn't find anything - sorry if I missed it! I'm shocked they aren't going to honor a written contract with you for the...
I definitely agree with you about nav, it isn't reliable in many more remote areas. Having traveled extensively out west, paper/physical maps are a necessity.
Self-driving cars are a very different thing from augmenting the information a human driver receives about their environment. I'm not...
Yeah, the backing up thing - I can't see anything short right behind my truck by looking directly out the rear window. In my mind, just because it was clear when I got in doesn't mean there isn't a child/pet/whatever there when I go to back up, and looking out the rear window does not allow me...
My problem is being very short (5'2") and having issues seeing very low-profile vehicles in the blind spot on my truck when trying to change lanes to the right. Looking over my shoulder does not help with this, the rear windows and are higher than many cars and my line of sight doesn't start...
Just found this, have my stormtrooper on order and cannot wait until it's ready. This is just making me more antsy to have it here.
Any suggestions for a subtle window sticker once it arrives?
That right there would have been my first choice for color. The spousal unit disapproved of the dark color so mine will be white night edition instead.
But yeah, those wheels are the look I want for winter too - trying to find someone with 18" black takeoffs I can plant some winter tires on...
Personally I wouldn't do black wheels on a chromed-out truck, but that's just me. For what it's worth, I'd tell the wife to order herself a night edition and be done with it ;)
From everything I've read, you may be better of with the aftermarket spray-in bedliner even though it will cost a bit more all-in. I remembered the BUG but there were one or two other things I neglected to add that I second-guessed after. If the truck shows up as-ordered though, I'll be one...
Does anyone know for sure what this means for trucks previously ordered with Level 2 and/or BSM? I'd rather not spend the next couple months looking forward to a truck I'll never own due to safety enhancements I ordered being left off as if it didn't matter.
I'm very unhappy at the prospect of the vehicle I ordered showing up without blind spot monitoring/cross-path detection. That was a must-have and one of the main reasons I ordered instead of choosing something off the lot. Sadly I may pass on the vehicle if it shows up without that after months...
Following - have a Roll n' Lock on my old 1500 but would prefer something sleeker for the new one (the RnL took up too much bedspace/volume when it's already at a premium for road trips).
