2" Leveling Kit for Air Ride Suspension

Thanks. Finished the other 2 wheels today. Maybe I’ll get one test mounted this weekend to see if I can run them without the level kit first before I dive into ripping the suspension apart. Then again I don’t think it would take me longer than 3-4 hours to install the kit. That way I can just install the new wheel all at once which will save me time over all

Won’t lie I did gamble and opted to not run a UCA given this truck will never see the off road (don’t live anywhere near where that would be an option) and from what I’ve seen on here the oem UCA should be just fine with this level kit for city roads especially.

Tell me if I’m nuts now and I’ll just bite the bullet and buy the ready lift arms as them and core 4x4 seem to be the only options for air suspension.

Going to do the front end alignment to?

Going to do the front end alignment to?

Yep once I get the wheels, tires, and level kit on. I think my local discount tire can do it. Never had a vehicle anyone but the dealer could successfully do an alignment on so looking forward to not having to spend $250 haha

Question and I’m pretty sure the answer is no since I’ve seen nobody mention it thus far but given this is going to result in a 2.5” lift. Do I need to get longer sway bar links?

So since I know yall are going To say no, then my real question is why not? Obviously I’m running the 4x4 stuff in the rear and they have an option for lifted x amount of inches etc. so I looked at doing the fronts while I’m doing this install and found Maxx offers a set for stock and for a 2-2.5” lift. So what is different from what we’re going to lift it 2-2.5” and a “normal” 2-2.5” lift that would require these specific end links?

U are referring to rear links right?

I did the front links with suspension Mac and did the 2”” or 3” can remember due to mine being worn and blown out and wanting something more robust. The rear I did not since the angle still looked fine and was planning on maybe doing a thicker sway bar and li is combo down the road.

No I mean the front. I change the rear links already to the core 4x4 for stock height.

So you did change your front sway links to a taller one with the revel level kit?

I’m looking at installing it this morning but haven’t seen anyone mention the front end links needing to be changed

Well in other news I finally got the damn UCA ball joint loose. For brand new truck that thing was tight AF. Left some good permanent marks on the aluminum knuckle but FINALLY she came free with the use of my 3lb sledge.

Next time I’ll be buying a ball joint separator lol. Especially if I end up doing th UCA at some point.

Came out pretty good and it turns out I didn’t need that spacer kit after all. They sit pretty darn flush. I may put my 1” on the rear at some point but for now I’m content.

Assume it’ll level out in the next day or so once the air bags figure out their job again. I haven’t driven it yet except out of the garage.

Yes I went up in size in the front when I did my level. My endlinks were torn and see people running these and decided they would be better than OE replacement. Is it “needed” I don’t think so but it gives me peace of mind. Also like the fact that you can rebuild them rather than having to buy a whole new replacement part.

I 100% get upgraded to aftermarket. Just curious why I don’t see anyone mention doing this for the leveling kit. I’m assuming it’s not 100% needed like the UCA but like you said….why not.

In other news, discount tire can’t do my alignment because I have the 360 camera and the adaptive cruise control…..

So I guess I’ll be calling the dealer

Yes like the OE UCA is not “needed” but a more robust aftermarket part is a check the box type of thing that brings peace of mind to some when doing the level.

Do with that info as you may but is it NEEDED? No.

Picked a set up. Got delivered today. Look to throw in this weekend. Looks like a 30 min job from stepping into my garage to closing the garage door lol.

Fun fact. Looks like my rear end is still sitting about 1” higher than the front. I’m seeing 36 5/8 front and 37 5/8 rear when in normal mode.

So much for paying extra to have the links “dialed in” to the appropriate setting.
