Well its time to rebuild atleast my front shocks, maybe my rears. They all have 50k miles on them, and I recently installed a 220lb bumper and have a 12k winch im waiting to install as well. So I am looking to get them re-valved and new springs to account for the weight

I considered buying a second set so I can rotate them, but these are the performance elite and I just can not justify the cost. Does anyone have a shop they reccomend, especially in the Chicagoland area? Ideally id like to be able to drop them off and pick them up vs shipping. But if ive got to wait, what are your experiences with shipping and turnaround times? Thank you! Pic for attention

Accutune did me right when I set up on the 2.5 dsc. You’ll run your truck over a cat scale for a front and rear weight, tell them the style of driving you’re after, and they’ll valve and spring it correctly. I’m happy with how they set up my Ecodiesel.

Turnaround times were pretty good but expect at least a week start to finish with perfect shipping times. I’d say realistically more like two. Yeah, that part sucks 😥

Possibly this guy, but not sure he rebuilds

I can't help you for your area. But What I did was just call my offroad shop. I made an appointment and he ordered the parts so everything was there. I dropped it off first thing in the morning and picked it up that evening and was on my way.

That seems like the best option honestly. I sent them an email to get an idea of the times and prices, do you mind mentioning how much you paid?

Im still going to call Arlington to local shops, but it seems like this is the way

I bought a set from them to swap back and forth. They valve and spring them in their full unit sale price so my price was different that what you’d be hit for on just a rebuild. 2419 front and 1449 rear shipped.

Depending on if anything needs replaced and how rough your units are I’d expect a couple hundred for the springs and around 550 or so for the rebuilds in decent shape on the front and less on the rear. I’d be really surprised if the bill exceeded 1000 bucks unless you’re sending them units on their death bed.

They’re super easy to talk with and always answered when I called with questions. Give them a call and they’ll quote you really quick and answer any questions you may have about what the right valving and springs for your setup would be.
