Chrysler recalls more than 450,000 vehicles with trailer brakes that could fail (merged threads)

Just got my call, truck goes in Thursday. They estimate 4 hours!!
Mine was intermittent on one trip a while ago. Thought it was a loose plug connection from tt to truck.

Is the replacement module part number 68602157AH?

Most likely yes. Depends on your truck, but if a 1500, that should be it. See second page of attached:
Thanks. I'm wanting to add the trailer brake switch to my Tungsten and I'm tired of waiting for a replacement module. I thought about purchasing the switch and the new module, installing it myself and then asking the dealership to program it.

Well, got'er done!!
Mine only malfunctioned one time. Thought it was a loose plug to the trailer. So we'll see.
Told me it would take about four hours, I waited and it got done in two??
I can't tell if they did any work because it appears that all original bolts looked the same.( I took before pics)
Can the job be done without removing the rear saet??
They then cleared all stored codes, they didn't list what those were.
They also did a TSB(?) On the battery drain issue. I did not request it, just was done while in the shop, I have had zero issues with the batteries. Hope it doesn't start.

"Hope it doesn't start..having issues". There, I fixed it for you. Lol

So this morning I called several of the dealers in my area again to try to get an appointment to have the brake controller replaced (it’s been almost a month since my last attempt at this). No luck today either.
They all said they’re getting at most one part per week. My normal dealer said he’s received two (2) in the last month. He gave me some story of how Ram is trying to source a new part and find a vendor that can support the quantity. Do people really believe this crap?

One said they received just enough to replace everything for sale on the lot, but they’re now waiting for parts for customers. So…. in a safety recall, it’s more important to replace parts on trucks that aren’t even on the road, over trucks that are currently registered and being used. I know - I get it - it’s all about the Benjamins.
