Garage door opener in sun visor

I've never owned a vehicle that had this feature and have a question. Is this feature "powered up" all the time or is it switched off when the truck is off?

On my truck (2022 TRX), it's powered when I get in the truck (and before I hit the start button). Not sure if it's powered ALL the time, or just when the truck has woken up from entering.

Interesting. I park in the garage about 99% of the time. Every once in a while, I have to park the truck outside and when I do I remove the door remote for security purposes. From the sound of it, I won't be using the built it opener.

if you do not park in a garage, not a good idea to set it up IMO.

Turn your garage door opener off at the wall if it makes you feel better. Most have a lock feature.
