Hello all, finished installing the air ride delete kit that I got from airdelete.com. I went with the eibach setup and was able to program the truck at the same time. Truck kept dropping and couldn’t find a leak anywhere, even with pulling the boots back on the shocks.

Ride quality comparison - if you decide to delete the air ride like I did, realize the ride won’t be as nice going over smaller imperfections in the road, where as the air ride feels like it floats over smaller bumps.

Cost - this one to me, the cost to replace just the front shocks with OEM quality shocks, which I believe were the culprits would’ve already been over 1k. This kit, while expensive, would be a more permanent solution to preventing future headaches. Is there really a need to raise and lower the truck? No not really. I’m sure towing, where it levels out is probably a benefit but do with that what you will.

If I were to recommend in the future to anyone, or if anyone has already done it. Is purchasing the pieces separate instead of the kit and save yourself probably $1,000. For close to $2,000 and my order missing the rear bump stops, gives the feeling that you are getting a nothing special setup for a steep price whether it be the eibach or bilstein shocks.

Do you have the part numbers for everything you got? I need to do the exact same thing you did.
Any other advise is appreciated.

How was the programming with alpha obd? I’ll have to get an android phone apparently since I’ve only got an iPhone. Did you have to pull any fuses? Also, did you reprogram before or after removing air suspension? Lots of questions I know, any help would be appreciated. I’m having a shop do it for me but I’d do the reprogramming. Thanks.

Got my truck back today with eibach suspension. Looks good, level. Drives fine. There’s one small warning light in gauge cluster, easy to ignore, it’s just a light. When starting truck the service air suspension message appears for a couple seconds then goes away. I don’t hear compressor running and get no other error messages. Drivability not affected, no other systems seem affected. Now I’m not even sure I want to bother reprogramming and potentially screwing up electronic systems. They go to my truck a lot sooner than expected and I don’t even have the reprogramming stuff yet. We’ll see.

So you can purchase the alphaOBD programmer from air delete with your order and send it back once you are done and they will reimburse you. The programming is very easy. They provide a simple step by step guide. It’s been quite a few months now to remember if I pulled a fuse but I don’t think I did. It’s very simple to do

So I can only direct you to air delete.com for part numbers. Mine was for a 2019 ram 1500 limited. Yours could be different per year, I’m not sure. Head over to there and check them out

Thanks. I didn’t go through airdelete but a shop who’s done suspension work for me on other stuff. I did go with eibach and I have to say the ride is actually much better than the air suspension. Smoother over bumps, less body roll. I still haven’t reprogrammed it yet, just got an android phone today and am waiting for the other stuff. Probably not worth the effort to program and possibly screw something up.
