Ram 1500 DC 650. Can hemi 5.7l handle power reliably?

I found a dealership that had some for sale and they posted the original window sticker for the truck. It shows a 5–year or 60,000–mile Powertrain Limited Warranty although multiple articles I have read state that it comes with the 10-year/100,000-mi warranty.

If you are looking to buy a stock 2026, the window sticker online says 5/60. But when you buy it, it is upgrades to the 10/100. That's what my guy at Steve White Motors says.

I think all the window stickers show 5yrl60k mile. The 10/100 is kind of a like a dealer add on option you have to make sure gets put in the paperwork when you are making the deal.

all the newer produced window stickers show 10 year 100k mile powertrain warranty

hmm not bad 🤔

Nothing really special about that, likely one range colder spark plugs and hellcat injectors. All modern PD blowers use a cooling brick inside the supercharger and whipple been having an issue with their intercooler bricks rupturing and leaking.

I'd be looking into some reinforced bricks it I had one but it does have a warranty so 🤷‍♂️

that would be the selling point for a lot of consumers i'm sure
Without doubt, I wouldn't give an S if it broke as long as it was under warranty but there's some that fail to apply that same logic for the hurricane.
I like the premise of the truck, just not $90K for a SC'd bighorn. Would be nice to see this available in higher trims at a more reasonable price. For $90+K, it seems like the base trim should be a Limited or at least a Laramie.

i think something more cheaper with more options shall come out in the near future from RAM themselves. the DC650 truck is so expensive due to FOX/RIDETECH having to work on it instead of everything rolling off the assembly line in michigan.

IDK. Im wondering if Ram is watching this trucks reception and sales and deciding on if they will offer something like this, a street TRX. I don't really see it though

i'm not sure if you saw yet, but RAM actually saw an increase in truck sales this 1st quarter of 2026. ford, chevy and GMC saw truck sales decline i believe.

An increase in truck sales doesn't equate to something like the DC650 or a street trx being a big seller.
I'm not surprised that Ram saw an increase over GM but I thought I read somewhere that Ford truck sales were still high.

I don't know that I'd buy something like the DC 650, I don't like the idea of boost on a cast bottom end or on an engine not designed for boost at all.

@HSKR R/T and i have both seen 5.7 being fine as long as the boost isn't absurd 🤷‍♂️

As have I. My point is that the 5.7 with a Whipple is maxed out with no margin due to the cast internals. As long as you don't want more you're probably fine, that's not enough margin for me.

I highly doubt Ram will ever come out with a truck anything similar to the Direct Connection/Fox DC650, Hennessy Mammoth 400, or the Black Widow/Fox (SCA) SR650. They have been “gauging” interest for the Low Down concept since 2019, and they obviously decided that there was not enough interest to actually produce anything resembling it. Now, there is The Dude concept, but again, this is just another concept that they will most likely not produce. Some other company like Fox/SCA will have to make it.

I just purchased a 2026 Warlock with the Hurricane and that's exactly it.

The 5.7 handles boost far better than the 6.4
