Here just to vent... I'm going on 2 months and now date pushed back another month to get collision place to get a rear quarter panel as on back order.

The gave me Ram customer care # of course got Philippines that they just run script even when I want them to take a complaint and talk over me like a robot with script.

But seriously what's going on with Ram parts supply chain if they can't deliver a rear quarter panel for a 2021 Ram Laramie? It's not like it's the dang generator.

End of rant...
"End of line..."

Similar issue with 21 Rebel. Different from your case though as it was under warranty. Electronic shift module broke and part on national backorder. Appeared 3 months later. Friend who works in Dodge parts dept said, in some cases, RAM will do a special order for one part to avoid a buy back. He thinks that's what happened in my case.

Options for you might be an aftermarket source that does reproduction body panels, if there is one, or search car-part.com for a used panel.

I am going through something similar right now. Sideswipe took off my passenger rear view trailer tow mirror (68446972AA). Repair shop says there are NONE available in North America, no restock date and 21 trucks ahead of mine on the waiting list.

Think I've read on here where people are waiting over 6 months for an Etorque replacement. On month two I'd probably be trading the truck in lol.

I bought my '23 new almost exactly 2 years ago, it's been to dealer for problems 4 times so far. Just picked it up Tuesday for the last one. I told my wife that if this keeps happening, I'm going to trade it in near the end of the warranty period.

My recent eTorque was a month. The one before that was about the same. Thankfully, the truck was still drivable. They could tell it was going but deemed it non-critical so they let me use it while I waited for the replacement.

That second one was the nail in the coffin. I traded the truck in last week.

What did you replace it with? If I keep getting check engine alerts, I might be right behind you. Mine have mostly been little things, but still annoying. My last truck was an '18 F150. I had it for 4 years and not a single problem.

Back in early January a deer ran into the side of my truck. After asking a PDR guy about the damage, he said it was too much. So I made an insurance claim and the body shop gave me a date to bring it in for replacement of the rear door. When my date was coming up, I got a call that the door wouldn’t be available for 7-10 days more. It did arrive in that time period and now my truck is like new again.
The parts thing is so much of a reality today, and not just with Ram. The MGU has been I believe one of the biggest problems with supply, not to mention it can also leave you without a truck for months. And really, I don’t believe the supply problem will EVER go away in today’s market.
I just found out that the SRT oil filter isn’t available now. I use 2 a year for my HellCat which requires oil changes @ 6 month intervals or 6,000 miles. I asked a Chrysler parts guy from another Ram site about getting some filters (hoping they’d have them in stock), but he got back to me saying there are 13,000 on back order! It just doesn’t end!

2026 Ford F150 Tremor with the Coyote V8.

If not for the eTorque, I'd have kept my 19' Rebel. I went through 3 generators: The one on the truck from the factory, then the replacement one, and then the replacement of that one.

There was zero reason for the eTorque to be replaced over, and over, and over again. It was all the same thing. Things would be fine then in cold weather, ringing/grinding on startup. Which inevitably, was the bearing going.

The biggest crime is that you MUST have a dealer program the eTorque. You simply cannot bolt on yourself. So there you have it, $3300 repair a dealer has to do. The 48v battery is the next travesty. Supposedly that one is also a dealer-only install. What I found odd was I had 3 eTorques go, but the 48V battery was still fine.

I have buddies with non-eTorque trucks and they all ask me if they should get rid of theirs. I tell them no. The eTorque was the only unforgivable issue for me. The evap core was the runner up. All the other issues? They were just cherries on top that pushed me away.

My only concern with the Ford is the 10-speed. Also why I went with the 10yr-100k Ford ESP warranty on day 1.
