I know this may sound crazy, but I want to modify the exhaust system on my 2026 Ram Big Horn. Don't get me wrong, the GT exhaust is the best sounding factory system Ram has ever used. Cold starts and hard accelerations sound fantastic, if you are outside the vehicle. The tone of the system is fantastic, but the system is way too quiet at idle and when inside the vehicle with the windows up. I had a 2019 1500 Big Horn with the Mopar Cat-Back system, and it sounded badass at idle, inside the vehicle and even better under hard acceleration. I'm not looking to do drastic mods or change the tone, just more volume and I want to hear it more in the cab. Not drone, just the same sound you hear standing at the back of the truck, inside the cab to a certain degree. Any suggestions?

no performance gain so just to be loud? just me but i like it kinda quiet. i don't really want t draw too much attention.😎

GT exhaust gets much louder over time when you have more miles. I just passed 66,000 miles on mine and it’s obviously louder than new. I noticed it at 25-30,000 miles already especially at full throttle.

some exhausts do become louder over time. i believe due to the inner materials wearing down thus allowing more sound output.

deleting the rear resonators is a practical option. deleting/changing the muffler would defeat the purpose of having a GT exhaust.
Thank you for the suggestion. I was going to mention deleting the rear resonators as the simplest and cheapest option to get more volume from the factory system. Since the 2026s with the Hemi and GT exhaust are so new, no one has done that yet to post it on YouTube so I can hear the difference.

Yes, not looking for a performance gain. I just like a loud but good sounding exhaust system. I spent a year doing research and listening to all different exhaust systems before deciding which system to put on my 2019 Ram. The Mopar-(Borla) cat-back system had the best tone, and the volume was just right at idle and was fantastic on cold starts and hard acceleration. The GT exhaust as I mentioned has a great tone but is too quiet for me at idle and when the engine is warm.

This is my stock GT exhaust cold start with 500 miles on it

GT exhaust has been out for years now. i'm absolutely sure someone out there has done a resonator delete already.
