For anyone wondering about running 285/55R22 tires on OEM RAM 22-inch wheels — here’s the real-world answer

Had the Revel kit installed and love it so far. It's raining so I didn't crawl under the back for a pic of the rear links.

Is the zone UCAs they sell better or lower quality than the ready lift UCAs that seem to come with the “advanced kit”. I’m thinking the ZONE is a better product and if I piece meal it together it’s only like $20 more nice the advanced kit.

I have no experience with zone.

I'd check reviews on Readylift arms, I've seen some complaints about them. I ran Zone on my 4th Gen and they're stout!

Ya unfortunately I have air ride so zone is out of the running. I may just go ready lift now until I can find another aftermarket version that has the air link prong to attach the link to.

So that answers that. Still curious why the air links are required if the spacer is bent used to raise the chassis to “level” the truck.

Look at JBA and see if they can be used for Air

Ordered the kit. Opted to not go with the UCA yet know it’s not a requirement for just the leveling kit.

Will do a bit more research and pick the right one at a later date. Looks super easy to install by itself anyway.

So far I’ve seen RC and RL as the only options for air ride….

I'm running the Toyo Open Country AT3 in 295/55/22.

Any trimming required? What suspension height setting are you at in that photo you posted? Looks like you have room for even bigger.

2.5” seems like overkill for a leveling kit lol. I’ve seen others only call for a 1.5” but I think that too is too little based on measurements.

No trimming whatsoever. It's sitting in normal mode in the photo. I might get 35s when I need new tires.

My wheel calculator says you’re already at 34.8” right now! Haha

Which calculator are you using? When I checked, it was like 34.2. Not a big difference really but odd when they can be advertised as 34.

I have this exact setup (285/55/22) and run the Revel advanced level kit (Limited). I can confirm slight rub in reverse but I heated up the plastic and used zipties and its a non issue now. For those of you worried about the speedometer being accurate, I found the sweetspot to be 34.7 (+/- .1) if you are using a Tazer to correct.

When measuring the tires on the ground, the actual measurement was closer to 34 3/8" but 34.4 on Tazer had me a 2 mph off at around 75mph so bumped it up to 34.7 and now its spot on with GPS.

Hope this helps someone.

Have any pics? I'm curious why you would have rubbing with that setup. I dont but I'm running 295/55/22.

Been really contemplating going with an air delete kit and getting the Eibach Pro-Truck Coilover 2.0, but I’ve been contemplating the Revel advanced kit as well to keep the air suspension.

The main reason I want to get the Coilover is because of all the videos out there saying the strut spacers ruin the ride and cause all kinds of issues. The price difference is very appealing though.

Does it seem to ride any different or make any clunking noises while hitting bumps? I just don’t want to spend less money now but eventually have to spend more because I went cheaper.

It rides just as nice as when stock. No noises whatsoever. I love that it sits higher and I still have all off road settings.
Now I need to meaure how tall it is in normal mode since I recently was in a parking deck with low ceilings before the install. It had me worried so I put it in aero mode and even tried entry/exit mode but it wouldn't stay in that mode while moving. I just need to know for my own peace of mind.

Im thinking of going with 20” fuel +1 with a 275/65/20 Nitto G3. It’s a 34x11” tire according to nittos website. Unfortunately I have to either go narrow or tall and I can’t seem to do both with the G3 and a P rated tire (trying to save about 15lbs per tire if I can help it albeit not necessary).

My question is as I’d like to be as flush with maybe a slight slight poke, with the 1/2” narrower tire but a +1 offset will I be able to achieve this or do I need a wider tire with that offset and width?
