Hey all just picked up a 2025 rebel in Jan had 20K on it but I’m having problems with the key fob not locking, unlocking or occasionally even being seen by the RF hub to start the truck.

Had it in the shop 2x now without much luck but now I think they’re playing the blame game on previous owner. Looks like he hit the shark fin antenna on top on one of those yellow warning bars in a parking garage and they’re telling me it put a slight dent in the roof allowing water to seep in and short circuit the connection.

I’ve done some remand this doesn’t have anything to do with the locking ,unlocking, remote start or any relation to how the key fob is received. LOLs like it is for radio, serius satellite radio and WiFi which all work fine.

Thinking of calling ram customer support and dealing directly with them.

Can anyone advise or offer any suggestion on how to deal with this to get resolution?

Thanks
Lance

The RF Hub sits on the back wall of the truck. If there is a leak and it is leaking down the back to the RF Hub, then yes, that's an issue. When the CHMSL leaked on the 2019s, it caused this issue too.

You're absolutely right that the shark antenna has nothing to do with the locking ,unlocking, remote start or any relation to how the key fob is received. The Fobs are only reporting to the RF Hub. @vincentw56 explained it right. You might check with your dealer and have them replace the RF Hub.

Thanks it’s pretty inexpensive to replace so maybe I’ll do that and check the seal.

Thr previous owner may have installed LED bulbs somewhere which can cause issues like this

So the rest of you don't have to look it up.
