2022 RAM DRVM with 360 Trailer Surround View System

Hey everyone!
I’ve got a 2022 Ram with the Mopar Trailer Surround Camera option and the digital rearview mirror (Tow Mode) installed. From what I’ve read in the manual it should be possible to have the trailer real camera image display on the digital rearview mirror when backing up or using Tow Mode - not just on the center Uconnect as Surround view screen.
My question is:

Has anyone here actually gotten their trailer camera to show on the digital rearview mirror?

• If so, how did you set it up/configure it (menus, wiring, settings, etc.)?

• Do you have to do anything special in Uconnect or on the mirror itself (like pulling the “View” button, toggling Tow Mode, etc.)?

• Any tips on what to check if it doesn’t automatically switch to the trailer view?


I’m especially curious what the workflow looks like once the camera’s physically connected - e.g. do you have to toggle any particular view on the mirror while in Reverse before it will latch onto the trailer cam input?

I've developed a solution that enables me to view my trailer camera image through my digital rear view mirror (DRVM) in my Australian delivered 2025 RAM 1500 Hurricane HO Limited.

Achieving this required:
1. Replacing the factory single-camera input DRVM (68594726AA) with a genuine dual-camera input DRVM (68594723AA)
2. Sourcing a genuine rear-view vehicle camera to use as a trailer camera (68448640AA)
3. Designing a custom camera housing
4. Selecting the correct cable type to suit the extended cable run length from the DRVM to the trailer camera
