Catch Can HO

I plan on putting one on and not removing it when I take my truck to the dealership. They can absolutely deny warranty work on your vehicle because a catch can modifies the evap system. It is not a replacement part in kind that would be covered under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
I've had the JLT on the truck since day one and have been to my dealer 4 times with no warranty issues related to the CC since owning the truck. Of course, I didn't take my truck in for any EVAP issues since there were none. Remember folks, you can mod your vehicle, and if there is an issue related to that mod, they can deny your warranty. Cat-Back exhausts, CAI, Catch Cans, piggy back tuners (which I would surely remove) all fall into this category. Stallantis knows that we'll be throwing bolt-ons to these trucks. Just be prepared to prove your mod isn't the problem when warranty questions it which is rare for bolt-on stuff. Just bolt your aftermarket products on correctly with good parts! Don't shortcut!

They can't void the entire warranty. If you have a Pulsar, they can't deny warranty on interior issues.

A scumbag dealer can try to void warranty (or parts of it) for any number of reasons. From a catch can (or other simple mods) to not getting your oil changes done there. Many have the whole "I am bigger than you" mentality and don't think you'll take them to court over it, sort of a bully mentality.

Good dealers don't care unless they can prove directly your part caused the issue, and even then, good ones usually want to work with you. Trick is finding one, and sometimes the sales department can be great and the service department terrible, or vice versa.

That is why I tend to buy parts from bigger names, rather than smaller names, I hate to say. If the dealer tells me they are voiding my engine warranty because I use Amsoil, I can go to Amsoil and make a fuss and they will go to bat for me, as they won't want the publicity of "Amsoil oil voids warranties." If they tell me they are voiding a warranty due to an AFE intake, I can probably get AFE to go toe-to-toe with them. Etc. Not fool proof, but it helps.
