Ram Rebel 3.0 sst gas mileage.

I’m seeing a lot of 18-20 mpg for these 3.0 sst rams. I have a Rebel and can only get 16 at the most. I’m curious if other Rebel owners are experiencing the same low gas mileage?

I only have 1,500 miles on my ‘26 Rebel. My mix is 14-15 and did a 450 mile round trip and averaged 17.5….all hand calculated. The lie o meter is 1mpg optimistic. Any ways the advertised mileage on the sticker is broad brush with options when it comes to gear ratio, tire size, aerodynamic with 1” lift upfront. Rebel should have a different truthful rating on the sticker. The 3.21 and 3.55 trucks with street tires will get the advertised claimed mileage.

Ford had to recant thier claim on the 3.5 Ecoboost after a couple years in production because it was not getting nowhere near the claim.

OMG, I know that, lol….the guy above posted he had a Laramie. It may have an 3.92 with his mileage stated (like Rebel). Another words, someone most likely will not get the mpg rating as printed on the Maroni sticker having the 3.92 and small other factors with trim levels.

It's the tires more than anything else. I lost 3 mpg going to knobby tires

I believe you're right on with the tires Scram1500. I lost the about 2+ mpg going from Bridgestone AT's 275/55r20 to Wildpeak AT4's 275/60r20's. Never thought the tires would make that significant a difference. I purchased the truck in Tucson AZ and drove it to So. Cal., stopping for gas at the stateline, I averaged 22.93. all highway. Now, the best I get all highway is 19.2, if I'm lucky and down wind.

I'm not. And I appreciate all of the replies. I just figured that I would reiterate the reasoning behind the thread. I'm just trying to figure out if 12-16 mpg is normal for my trim. seems to be.

Meh…I pretty much spelled it out with my post(s) above towards the Rebel mileage. Live with the 15-18mpg average with Rebel on 33” aggressive tires and low gearing. With the 3.92 playing the biggest factor.

Advertised mpg is Not real world with any configuration.
Just saying, my 25 h/o limited 3.92 gears doesn't get sticker.

I have had my '25 for almost two months. Had 25 miles on it when purchased. Can confirm that mpg gets better the more miles are driven. I got 11mpg on the 250 mile drive home from the dealership at 75-80mph. I have filled up with 93 octane since purchased. Truck now has 2500 miles on it and I am averaging 19mpg hand calculated.
