Headlight LED Ring -Running Light

One of my headlights has the Running Light not working so I turned them off, but that LED Ring also comes on with the headlights..I don't want it to cause an issue with state inspection so my question is this: Can I turn that LED Ring off for both headlights completely? I was hoping Alpha OBD might be able to switch it off but I have not looked into it yet...Any other ideas? How much is the complete assembly?

Why would the accent LED`s create a problem with the inspection? They are DOT approved headlights. I would not worry about it.
The assembly is over thousand IIRC.

Yes AlphaOBD can turn them off or dim them. There's a youtube video about it.

Thanks guys..I will give it a try..worse case I can get into the harness and disable it physically.

I would go the alfa route, disconnecting the wires will throw "open or short to battery" codes.

The LED strip comes on for about one second then goes off, ....has anyone else seen this and is there a way to fix it other than spending $1000
