The other day my truck wouldn’t start. Sit down, push to start, and it just clicked.
Had the wife jump it off and it ran fine.
I’ll cut it off and on a few times after that.
Went to work and when I left, same thing. Went to start it and it just clicked.
Again, jumped it off and it ran fine.

Went to Walmart, was in there for 20-30mins came out and she cranked right up no issues.
Went 200yds to the gas station. Turned it off to pump gas. And when I finished I went to start it and just got the click again.
Got a jump and went home.
I the changed the battery in my FOB out (for the heck of it) about 20mins after whenever I got home and then went out to see if she would crank and it fired right up. Went out an hour after that, fired right up again.
I gave it another attempt before I went to bed and again, it’s just clicking.

What could this be?

I had a similar issue with my 2019 1500 Laramie. Here’s something to try. Get the truck started and locate the digital gauge showing battery voltage on your instrument cluster. Turn on all accessories like heater (full fan speed), seat warmers if equipped, lights, radio etc. Now monitor the battery reading to ensure your alternator is keeping up with demand. Voltages below 14v may indicate the alternator is on its way out. If the voltage is around 14.2-14.8 then could be the battery.
In my case, the battery was original and I had my retractable running boards semi frozen and could retract correctly. I also unplugged my dashcam.

Good luck

And that’s it? AutoZone tested my battery, starter, and alternator. They said all came back reading that they were fine.
I've had batteries "tested" by auto parts stores and they are still bad. It starts while being jumped? Then what else would it be. BTW, why didn't you include that info about it being tested in the first post?

Hell. I have no idea. Since it started a few other times after different periods of time between cranking and not, I wasn’t sure if it was the battery.

And sorry. First time I’ve ever posted in the forum. Should have included that in my first post.

Yeah, the more info the better.

On push to start vehicles, when the battery is low or can't provide the cranking amps required, they just click. No more just trying to turn over. The only other thing it could be is something draining your battery. My son's charger was doing it because he had a BT adapter plugged in that was draining it.

Loose battery connection at the starter or starter

Took my battery out of my buddies Ram and put his in mine and mine in his. My battery cranked his truck right up. His battery is resulting in the same issue I’m currently having.

That eliminates the battery.
Next would be a possible intermittent parasitic draw, poor connection or a failing starter?
