2019 Ram 1500, 5.7 Hemi, 61,000 miles

Noise started today, I drove it 30 miles home from work like this, no issues whatsoever, no power loss, no codes.

Im thinking stuck lifter?

My buddy thinks something on the lower end.

Im gonna try and diagnose it more this Sunday.

I know its hard to tell by just sound by whats yalls opinion?

That tick would be a lot quicker if it was engine related. Engine is rotating at 600 idle. Have you changed your belts or tensioner yet?
When belts are done the pulley needs to be done as well.

I can do a more thorough check when i get home from work but the issue is it is louder under the truck and by either tire but when you stand infront of the truck it isnt near as noticeable,
For instance the video is taken under the truck on the passenger side because thats where i found it to be loudest but you can hear it while sitting in the driver seat of the truck while at idle.
Also i was looking at the tensioner and belt while trying to figure it out looking for any irregular movement but i didn't see any.

But to answer your question, yes they have been changed once in the past 5 years, i think 2 years ago.

after listening with a stethoscope sounds like its coming from the bell housing, gonna pull the starter and take a look, but its probably a damaged flex plate or fly wheel
