Hemi, Hurricane, or keep my current Ram

I keep going back and forth on keeping or going new, especially with the truck running good and the warranty.
That being said I think I would be getting a decent deal on a new ordered Laramie.
The sticker will be about 73. The current incentives and the extra 5000 total 8500 off. I am getting 1% under invoice which is about 5500. With 16K for my trade,. That brings me to an amount due of around 43K before state taxes. I have a resource that increased in value substantially in the last 3 months for a substantial down payment, leaving me with a monthly payment of around 300.
With the truck order only happening early next week, I'm hoping it doesn't come in for almost 2 months as the incentives tend to increase starting in January or February. If they do the 10% off sticker they did for a few months this year, that would give me another 3500 off.
It is a hard decision, If my truck was a rust bucket piece of trash, it would be a lot easier.

The way I see it, if you know there are better incentives coming, might still be better off waiting. That trade-in estimate you got will be offered again since they want you to not have that warranty anymore. Also really depends on how much you're truly comfortable with the amount your paying out the door as well as a monthly payment.

We have the unlimited warranty on our 2014 Big Horn. We will keep driving and repairing that truck as long as possible, since the current extended warranties are almost worthless if you drive a lot of miles like we do. 235,000 miles so far and still going strong.

and it's a hemi, pretty nice truck......

I've seen their pricing before. However there are 2 issues that I see. I am 1300 miles from them. I would have to pay shipping of the new truck which at this point I don't know the cost and would have to talk to them. The 2nd is caused by the certificate for 5K. They have to physically have possession of my truck for the certificate to viable. I have to ship my truck to them. I suspect some both of these costs would substantially reduce any savings I have with them. If it was a normal trade I could sell my truck locally. As my deal exists now, after the trade, 1% under invoice, and all incentives I am around 43K.
Nothing is easy.

Yes I am. The extra 5000 incentive is pushing me to do something. I have until 1/5 to decide.
If I didn't have the warranty it would probably have been traded in the last year.

That's a tuff one, if you're happy with your truck then I'd say keep it. That said, if you haven't had any major failures then the warranty probably isn't worth that much.
A new truck isnt going to have that warranty and it's a toss up as to whether or not you'll need it.

My 20 Limited had no real issues but I used the extended warranty twice and it may have helped a goodwill case with the dash replacement.
I had the AC TSB done and the exhaust manifolds replaced just outside the 5/60 warranty so the extended picked both up. The AC TSB was about $2500 and I think the manifolds were $800ish; I paid $2300 for the warranty (7 year /unlimited mileage).

When I sold the truck, I canceled the remaining extended warranty and got a prorated check for $750 from FCA last week. I took that and applied it to the warranty for the new truck, 6 year/125K miles for effectively $1500.
You can do a buy-in for a 10/100k warranty for $700 but that's only the powertrain and I wanted the electronics covered and HVAC covered as well.

If my 20 had not been in an accident and spent 4 months in the shop, I wouldn't have done it as I don't think the 5th gen HEMI to 5th Gen Hurricane is a worthwhile upgrade. 4th Gen to a 5th maybe but IDK that a $5000 coupon would make me get a new payment if you're happy with your truck. I certainly not happy about new payments again but I'm going to apply the money from the sale of my 20 to the 25 and be aggressive towards paying it off quickly

I Paid $650 for shipping my truck from Memphis to Dallas, about 500 miles so you'd probably spend at least $1000 each way. The dealer in memphis matched Marks discounts, you could always ask if you decide to buy a new truck
