New Member - 18" Steel Wheel/Winter Tires for 2026 Ram Big Horn

Hey folks, new member here. I'm picking up a 2026 Big Horn this week and want to set up dedicated winter wheels/tires for Michigan winters. My usual MO is to get the smallest steel wheels that will fit and put decent mid-range snow tires on (have a nice set of Cooper Evolution Winters that I have loved on my Durango I am trading in). Has anybody sourced a generic 18" wheel that will fit around the brakes? Otherwise I will try to find a set of 18" take-off wheels from a Tradesman.

I don't know what your budget is but craigslist often has Ram rims listed. If you are looking for just 18" rims they are available. Many change out the rims for custom and 18 Bighorn rims are plentiful. I don't use facebook marketplace but it seems the place to look.

Thanks. I'm a user of Craigslist and FB Marketplace, so I should be able to find something. I was mostly curious of anybody had sourced an new aftermarket 18"X7.5 or 8 steel wheel that is known to fit. I prefer steel for winter wheels so if I biff a curb I don't end up with a shattered wheel. I'll do some more research.

It should be possible. My spare wheel is steel and is an 18". Looks to be full width, too, not a donut.

Yeah, I'm a bit of an odd-ball. Most people are usually going the other direction to achieve a state of BIGAZZ WHEELS!

Sharing what I have found so far here for the benefit of others who may be looking for the same info:

• Mopar p/n: 5YD43S4AAD is the 18X7.5" silver painted steel wheel - 19.05mm offset, 77.8mm hub bore, 6-5.5" bolt pattern
  • Standard wheel on the Ram SSV [police] and Tradesman)

• Mopar p/n: 68675319AA is the 18.7.5" black painted steel spare wheel - 19.05mm offset, 77.8mm hub bore, 6-5.5" bolt pattern
  • Common spare wheel for Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Wagoneer

• Road Ready p/n: 560-62491 is an aftermarket 18X8" black painted steel wheel - 25mm offset, 77.8mm hub bore, 6-5.5" bolt pattern
  • Common to certain years of Nissan Armada/Titan as a spare wheel
  • Note that the increased offset keeps the wheel centered as it is .5" (12.7mm) wider.

I figure a set of the black painted OEM spare wheels (68675319AA), fitted with 275/65R18 snow tires should look decent on this and will do what I want them to do:

This is my spare wheel. It did not hold up so well in my opinion. I threw another coat of primer and trim paint after some serious prep and cleaning. If you are going to use steel rims for snow tires they made need some attention at the end of the season or after a few years.

I have a tradesman 18” set in MI that you could contact me about. There is also a bighorn 18” aluminum wheel out there too.
