Song Name To Show while CarPlay being used

Anyone know how to show the song name above uconnect 5 when in carplay. When you switch the trucks built in Nav the clock and song name show., but when I switch back to Google Maps full screen in CarPlay they go away….

That's 2 different screens/systems. You need to set it up in CarPlay if that's even possible. CarPlay comes from your phone. And the built-in Nav comes from Uconnect.

Idk if there is a permanent way. I haven’t tinkered with the settings in my phone to see if there’s a solution. One trick I have learned is to start from the home page, go to any other page and wait a second, then go to the CarPlay page. It’ll show what’s playing and the time at the top of the screen. Sounds silly but it drove me crazy not seeing the time up top when looking for it.

You might be able to get the song on the dash display between the gauges while the center screen is in CarPlay maps.
