Bilstein 5100 Settings

Looking for anyone here who is running Bilstein 5100s at setting 4 on a non ORG truck. Pictures and feedback on ride quality would be greatly appreciated.

I have read through tons of threads and I see that most people are running them at setting 5 or 6. I am looking to retain some rake as I do load the bed up pretty heavily from time to time, and I hate the look of being nose high.

Also planning to jump from 275/55-20 to 275/60-20 so I believe this will help with that.

Setting 5 is where Bilstein says not to go higher on ORP springs. That will be about stock on a non ORP.

I spent months and read every 5100 thread there was to try and make my decision. Ended up on 5 and was pretty happy. Ride is great, if anything an improvement. After a while, I regretted not going 6 and adding a rear spacer. I don't know if it settled a bit or I just got used to it, but being a NON-ORG, now I want more of a "lift" look. I may re-do it eventually and go with 6 and a rear spacer.

But, 5 was a pretty big look improvement from stock. If I were you, I wouldn't do 4...

Did you replace your UCAs when installing the 5100s? I’m trying to see if I need to replace them or if the angle is acceptable for just leveling the truck

I have a 2025 Laramie no ORG. Had them installed at my local offroad shop and went with their recommendation, which was the 2.8 setting. I have had them before on a previous RAM set at 2.2 and it did have a noticeable rake.

So far I love the ride. It rides like the previous RAM with the 5100's (better than factory IMO) and for my truck, it sits perfectly level.

Did you do UCAs with that setting being so high? Not sure if I need them or not. I would do clip 5 or 6 but there is no clean cut answer if I need UCAs or not

No. I was told they are not necessary with the Bilstein's

Setting 5 with 285-75-18's.
Rides way better, almost level.
Highly recommended!!

Please remember to reorient your headlights after lifting the front…after driving my beater for the last week its painful to get a facefull of low beams aimed directly into your eyes

That being said, I can attest to Non ORG Springs settling a little bit with the Beilstein shocks. I only went up the 2nd notch, but the they definitely settled another quarter or half inch back down

Just adding in to maybe help someone later on. I installed 5100s at setting 5 with a 1" spacer in the back. None ORP. Ended up with 3/4" rake. Very happy with the ride quality.

Durning installation I found my oem front struts have failed. Truck was starting to handle like a boat. I have 125,000KM on the truck. Heavy on highway KM also travel many mining/logging roads. Factory suspension was too soft for running they's roads at a decent speed.

So far ride quality is better and handles bumps much better. Able to avoid obstacles on road more aggressively without body roll or drama. (Animals and random objects that end op on the highway).

Truck sits equally to a friend's rebel with a level. Looks like a truck now.
