Mopar MaxCare extended warranty...worth it??

While I definitely got my money's worth out of the maxcare plan, I drive 35000 miles per year.
Today, longest period and miles is 8 years/125000 I believe. Not worth it, now that regular warranty on 2026 is 100000 miles.

However, for a 2022 it might be worth it.
Maybe..
2026 100K warranty is powertrain only.
These trucks have so much tech in them…and hourly dealership rate is up there…. Just have to look at all it covers and make the call. :)

Well. I just had a starter / battery harness / relay replaced under extended warranty after my started failed with 62k miles on my 2020 eco. So my extended warranty has paid for itself and more with 3 glow plug issues, steering column, and I have another 2 years / 40k miles left on it. Worth every penny in my case.

And turns out the alternator was also cooked and bad I found out from the dealer - however That’s on 3 week back order apparently. Luckily rental is covered by extended warranty. So more covered.

ZR2 GMC 1500 Diesel is starting to look interesting…weird all this stuff going wrong at 62k.

Out of curiosity, which warranty… and how much of the rental is covered? For Max Care, and it’s either 25 or 35 a day, for 7 days…

I'm in Canada... so its the Mopar Gold Plan 7 yr / 160k - they are covering $50/d until its fixed as parts are on national backorder. currently estimated at 3 weeks out

Good on you Chris! In the US we’re not so lucky. Shame… I literally live about 3 miles from where the trucks are built :)
As I’ve said elsewhere, it’s great you shouldn’t have to come out of pocket for a big item ticket. But, as you’re experiencing, doesn’t help if parts are on order. As said elsewhere, I have a third vehicle just in case.

Well, this is my only vehicle besides an old mustang and a motorycle......so I was clear with them that walking to work or to my hunting camp next week isn't an option so they are covering the rental and they agreed. Mainly due to the parts backorder on the alternator (which is weird but accurate as even Rock Auto is showing backorder on all of the available options).
