2025 ram 1500 no tow package.

My wife got.me a light to go in the tow bar receptical thats supposed to light up like a brake light. But it is not working. Yes i plugged it into the lower receptical. But it was late at night so just posting here to make sure it's not some setting i missed.

Should work, you may have to trouble shoot several factors to find what is wrong. Does the new light work on another vehicle? Does a different trailer with lights work when plugged in? Etc. they also make tester plugs that you plug in to see if the lights are working or could be a fuse.

Someone in another forum said they were having trouble with LED trailer lights vs non LED lights.

Also check the wire harness connection behind the bumper to your 7 pin. Someone noted Ram removed some clips and the plug can wiggle loose.

Thought i replied here. Yes it works in another plug on a different vehicle. Waiting on my dealership to have a loaner before I bring it in. Got my truck from an hour away from my place. No dealership around me is willing to just check a few things quick like to see if it needs to be brought in for work.
