Does anyone know that the plastic panel is? I didn’t notice it when buying truck, my old 2020 limited with same bed configuration didn’t have it. If I had to guess maybe something for a 5th wheel but this truck has too small of a bed and not enough payload so idk.

The plastic panel cover seems really cheap and could rip off easily. Probably too early but I wonder if there are any aftermarket ones that are metal or sturdier? Just seems really cheap.

Truck is a 2026 Tungsten 1500 and I’ve noticed quite a few manufacturing quirks or where they cut some corners. None are dealbreakers but I didn’t have any of that on my 2020 Ram 1500 limited.

looks like cutout for bed power outlet. your truck is not optioned for it i guess. But on the plus side, if you ever decide to add power outlet you already have a spot for it.

I went online to Ram's website and with the tungsten there are only a couple of options, didn't see anything about a bed power pack or anything like that. I am stumped.
Really like the truck so far but it definitely has some goofy quirks and QC issues... none are a deal breaker and I would still buy again but a little unbecoming of something at this price point if I'm being honest.

I think I might have figured it out! On the RAM Rev or whatever it is there is a bed power outlet and that is where it goes. I guess they decided to make all trucks the same and just put a plastic plate on the ones without it. Ugh I hope eventually there is an aftermarket solution or at least a metal plate. The plastic in the bed is super cheeseball.
