2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

New guy here, I just took delivery of a 2026 Tungsten last week and have finished my first 1000 miles. According to the build sheet it rolled off the line in late July of 2025, I bought in Sept 2025 with 30 miles on it.

Initial thoughts:

I got an autostop eliminator for $100, had it before I took delivery, took 5 minutes to install. Highly recommend! I hate autostop!

Good:
- POWER!!!
- Love the new look
- Love the wheels
- I like 2026 Hood emblem a lot more just says Hurricane H.O. very subtly... love that this car is such a sleeper
- Ram boxes line up MUCH better than my 2020, even if they didn't like old one I still would have gotten them
- Old one had split tailgate and so does this one, what an awesome feature and you also avoid the big dumb RAM logo on tailgate when you get that option.
- Self drive with display in HUD is better than GM supercruise. I've driven both a bit and I like Ram's more.
- Massage seats are awesome

Cons/Quirks:
- Found a spot on back of cab where they (not kidding) missed a spot with paint... still thinking about what to do about that

- Stitching is coming loose on steering wheel, new one is on order under warranty.

- I did a break in oil change and spent some time under the truck, I was a bit shocked at how many wires and modules are underneath and they are totally unprotected. A few of these were held on by a single cheap plastic clip so I zip tied about 4 of them a bit more securely. (I had a 2020 limited for 5 years that had all the same stuff and I never had an issue so who knows). If you drive your tungsten through a cornfield or anything like that I guarantee you are going to have big problems. I don't really do that so who cares. Just something to be aware of, I am sure they all are like this.

- Software glitch still present about warning illumination light, doesn't really do anything.

- Phone key is still not available (09/2025)

- The stereo is awesome but it seems to not sound good with certain music, idk old one with Harmon Kardon never did that. This stereo is phenomenal though, it can actually overload my ears around volume 20 lol

- Carpet floormats are a tad cheeseball in a truck, the rubber ones in my 2020 limited with the carpet bits that could be easily removed in winter were great. Not a big deal, I already replaced them with Weathertech ones.

I came into this one with even high expectations and overall am pretty happy with it 8.4/10 would absolutely buy again. The Hurricane isn't the best sounding engine but the power is epic & probably going to get me in trouble. I always seem to be speeding in this truck haha

Does it stay on when you have a trailer plugged in and in tow? It seems it may have auto off when no trailer is connected? Sensor picking up only when trailer is connected, maybe a feature for towing only or intended as such?
That's a good thought. I tried that too, since I tow something every couple of weeks. It didn't change anything, unfortunately.
