Does anyone know if there is an update for the transmission? I noticed today that mine feels like a drunk 16 year old learning stick for the first time, especially in the lower end while in traffic.

I've noticed mine is bit balky at very low speeds - i.e. when starting to move forward but then taking my foot off the gas (most notable when I turn onto my street and essentially roll thru at about 20mph. Not harsh, just feels like it momentarily can't figure out where to be.

I don't think they have figured it out yet or just don't care.
Mine is most noticeable on cold start up, and I live in Florida!!!

Yeah, Florida here as well - northeast transplant from '04 and never looked back. My issue isn't cold-start sensitive, just happens at certain low-speed actions.

That’s an accurate description of what’s happening. Can’t pick a gear when feathering the throttle in traffic. Almost feels jerky. Otherwise, it’s really smooth driving around.

Mine has less than 100 miles on it and I got an Electronic Control Throttle fault. Essentially, I am experiencing the same thing very cluncky when just trying to ease through the first few gears in traffic. Its not turbo lag as I am familiar with that, its more of a jerky acceleration issue. Taking it into dealership on Friday to see what they come up with.

You should just drive it normally and relax as it takes a while to LEARN your Driving Habits. Mine with 600
Miles is still in the process of getting my Driving habits nailed. My 2020 Eco-Diesel did the same. After
x amount of time it will be fine.

Mine does the same thing, I drive a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie with a I6 Hurricane SO engine and its intermittent but mine specifically jerks when downshifting from 4 to 3 and I'm going under 25 miles an hour. I asked the dealership about it and they found a TSB on it but whatever they did didn't fix it. They keep saying until I'm able to replicate it they can't do much about it. At this point I have over 3000 miles on the truck and don't think it's still trying to learn my driving style.

I had the same issue with the transmission at low speed, but after 3k miles, the system finally learned.

19,000 on my 23 and it still can't find the right gear moving below 10 mph.

Mine does the same thing. I was wondering if it was just my truck having this issue.

This may sound crazy but I put an AFE high flow filter in the stock box and replaced the intake tube "Amazon fix for $50" which stopped the jerkiness. It was still doing it originally with just the tube replacement so the only new addition is the filter. I am wondering at low speeds, under 20mph, if the engine is trying to calibrate something with the air which affects everything else.

I experienced like 4 times bought it 3 days ago, I’m going to try what you did. Can you tell me what filter it is to change ? So I can look up on Amazon

I wanted to share my experience and possible resolution with the shifting issues. I was ready to get rid of my new 2025 Ram after a month and 2500 miles due to the rough shifting.

- Truck would shift rough most times and a few times it was what I felt was extreme. It usually had issues until it reached 45mph. When driving slow in parking lots, it would jerk back and forth when accelerating or removing foot from pedal.
- It was most noticeable during slower acceleration.
- Also, I noticed as vehicle slows to about 5 mph, there is a noticeable jolt or lurch during braking.
- I noticed I had more issues on warmer days, usually over 70 degrees. It was less noticeable on cooler days/mornings.
- Luckily, I had changed to tow mode the previous weekend and didn't notice any of the poor shifting during that time. So, it gave me some hope.

I took the truck into the dealership with all of my notes. They performed a TSB update for the TCM (21-015-25). Since then, my truck has shifted flawlessly. I love my truck again. Now, I just wish I could get it to work properly with the two older trailers I used over that weekend.

Hope this helps someone.
