Will this camper shell fit?

I'm looking at buying a campershell off Facebook. The ad says it came off a 6'4" 2018 2500. My truck is a 6'4" 2025 1500. Will the shell fit? Do you think the silver paint is the same?

No, it's not going to fit properly.

Not sure about a 2500 but a 2018 1500 shell will fit a 25 but will be taller than the cab because the 2019+ trucks have taller bed sides than the 4th gen. If the cap is bright silver it is also different from the 19+ Billet Silver. I can ci firm all this because I had a 14 bright silver 6'4" and went to a 19 Billet Silver 6'4" and initially tried to move the cap over. I ended up selling my cap on marketplace and getting a new cap.

Well I kinda figured. Its been years since I bought a camper and man are they expensive.
So I'm better off with 2019+. Is that true for 1/2 tons and HD's alike?

I cant speak to the HD trucks - they retained the 4th gen body more or less until the 25 model I think so other than color may actually be a closer match but Im not sure. You can probably find out more by calling a camper shell dealer who sells used and asking them what would fit.
