Camera Connector Help TSB S1808000097

Hello,

My truck (2019 ram 1500) back-up camera screen frequently flickers or goes unavailable. I’ve had the dealer replace the camera and tailgate harness but still having issues. I found this bulletin for 2 other connector locations to check but the dealer won’t do it without charging me 2 hours of labor & no guarantee.

If anyone has tips/diagrams/instructions to access X306a (appears near glove compartment) or xy400 under seat would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You don't have anything under the seat that would affect this. Not on your truck. If you don't have the 360 cameras, you won't have anything by the glove box either.

If you look at the TSR, it says to check those connectors in the diagrams. What do you suggest?

You can still check the connections, but you won't have all those connections. That is what I was posting about. Also, if you paid to have it fixed by the dealer and they didn't fix it, they still owe you to fix it. I would push them to fix it. I would never pay for parts that didn't fix an issue.

XY306A is located behind passenger side kick panel that pulls out.
The XY400A is located under the truck, like is shown in the diagram. There is a cover on it that is held in with 3 nuts IIRC.
Cavity number 21 is the coax connection.

Thanks but I didn’t pay for the camera replacement to your point. But now they won’t keep investigating the cables because they say there is no code and it’s not covered under warranty. Hours of effort to check all the electrical harness and then more money for parts.
