E TORQUE was a big mistake.

21 Hemi E Torque.. I noticed a lot of fluctuation on voltmeter awhile back.. Dealer said ..no CEL, no problem.. few weeks later, dead battery... change battery, still fluctuating occassionally, but increased over time.. now starts at 13.6 volts cold and after 20 minutes drops to 12.4 volts.. Dealer says its Generator failing.. but they already have 3 others ahead of me on backorder.. could be months to get mine!! I am at only 21,000 miles. Then they say not warrenty.. Til I showed them my warrenty that clearly states 8 year FEDERAL Emission warranty for entire ETORQUE system.. They backed down.. 3 months or more without a truck is beyond ridiculous and refuse me a loaner.. There wont ever be another E Torque in my garage .
Bought my 2020 1500 Crew Cab used a bit over one year ago. Have already replaced the battery. All is good so far, but I can't help but think that the bang for the buck factor with this whole eTorque thing is so minimal between the generator and the extra battery behind the seat is not at all cost efficient in ANY WAY imaginable. What a STUPID mistake to buy this truck with this misguided semi-EV bullcrap in it. This will go down as some of the most stupid years in automotive history.
