Curious if any of you have any of these issues I have experienced. It is a 2025 1500 crew cab standard output Hurricane Laramie 4x4.

Random "warning light illumination unavailable" shows up when i start it here and there

Have to reconnect your phone every few days

Auto light and dark mode does not work (the screen is supposed to change from light to dark when headlights are on)

each time i start the vehicle, the screen or dash screen will have different things displayed than I left it when i shut it off (ex. I have it on the fuel economy on the dash and its on my tire inflation when i start it, or the uconnect screen was left on android auto with my bottom widget on the satellite radio and when i start it the next time its on climate)

I have this option turned off but I would say 3 out of every ten times i start the truck, the parking brake is engaged when I never use the parking brake.

I also on another note feel like sometimes the trans kicks hard if you hit the gas and then let off quickly between 3 and 4th gear at times.

worst part is, (sucks embarrassing myself) long story but, i bought a Laramie in February with the level one equipment group that had regular gauges. It was like my 2019 ram except it had the 12 inch infotainment screen. I drove that 800 miles (with none of the trans issues i described but a couple glitches on the screen but not nearly as many as this) and decided that i wanted the Laramie 2 package and traded that 2025 for another 2025 with the Laramie 2 group mainly so my wife would have the passenger screen (and I could get the key card (i was lied to by the first dealer, they said the key card would be made available to the Laramie equipment group 1 but it never will be Mopar said). Well, since April, I already put 13000 miles on it on a trip out west (and of course my wife didn't use that screen at all LOL). When i bring it to the dealer they say mopar will put out an update to fix these things.....I'm skeptical. Please if anyone else has had these issues I would like to know. thanks

I got the same light on my 2025 Big Horn the first day I drove off the lot with it. 5 days later they picked up my truck and gave me a loaner to use while they fixed it. That was June 10th. Today, July 27th, I still have that loaner waiting for my truck to be fixed.

According to my dealership, it needs a new gauge cluster and there are issues from that manufacturer with a chip that is needed. I am currently on a list waiting for the part.

I just heard from the dealer yesterday and apparently there was miscommunication between dealer and the parts company and they believed the part was supposed to be in by a certain date…but that date was just a hold date for the part. So we decided to get me my truck back and let me use it until the part is ready for order. Reason I couldn’t drive my truck is that the cluster comes preprogrammed with the mileage, so once ordered they do not want the truck driven.

It sucks, but my dealership has been great to me with updates, the loaner, and a some other things that make not having my new truck not as bad as it seems.

I have similar issues as you have which is highly disappointing. This is my first RAM as I had fords for a long time but hated the transmission on 2020, never shifted right and ford wouldn't fix it. They claim the transmission wasn't slipping, it's now called a flareup and deemed "acceptable" so it was time to change brands but I digress. Back on topic....
I have the same issue as you with the transmission shifting very erratic, to include a surge and while slowing down the downshifting is extremely hard, once I thought the car behind hit us. Dealer did some kind of reset and told me to drive more and come back later if the problem persists, which is not exactly great customer service nor gives me any confidence.

Also had the same message "warning light illumination unavailable service required" days after picking it up. The cause according to dealer is TSB 181956AE EPS software update. For now, that also seemed to fix the screen not dimming correctly at night.

Also message 1090 (don't know what that means) for pulling to the right. The cause as stated in the paperwork is TSB 181956AE EPS software update. I assume EPS means electric power steering. Flash performed from 68637846AI to 68637846AJ.

And yet still another issue, a terrible engine surge when first started, cause is TSB 181917BX RSU 24-142. Don't have a clue what all that means. Flashed from 6864343AO to 6864343AP. Still has a surge but not nearly as awful as before.

I hope shifting improves (a lot) because I in my opinion there's no forgiveness for lousy shifting on a vehicle that costs this much.

2025 Bighorn - Yes to most on the list but not all. Do not have the park brake or screen changing functions issue. This truck drove great until the learning feature activated, Ram should shut this off.
