Just curious, how many people have them in their trucks and what type ? And any good stories ?

Ya they have come a long way, I had a VanTrue and just replaced with the Wolfbox now I can look at the video in the truck or use the WiFi and send it to the phone. Amazing modern technology.
Yeah, I won't buy another dashcam that doesn't have an app that allows downloading videos straight from camera.

I have received the "three channel" VIOFO A329s w/ the HK4 - can I ask which fuses you used to connect the hardware kit? TYIA

My truck is in the shop, so I can't check and tell you for sure. I do recall that I used the fuse box under the steering wheel, and using the diagram in the owner's manual, I selected a fuse for the brake light and the accessories.

Installed the FitcamX today, seems like a good unit, clear pics. Only thing I don't really like is that if I connect the app I can't run wireless carplay at the same time, so I have to plug my phone in. Probably not a huge deal, since I'm not likely to watch the app while I'm driving, but just something to note.

You will have same issue with any dash cam that uses wifi connection, which are most of them.

Be careful with the FitcamX. Mine has be sporadically recording then not recording. Checked it today and it hasn't recorded for the past 3 months. A quick Google search shows that theres a tonne of people this is happening to so their cameras are faulty. I emailed them and have asked for a fix or a refund

I checkine periodically. Only issue I've had is sometimes the rear camera won't come up. And the transition from one clip to the next sometimes leaves gaps. . I have one in my RAM, and one in .my wife's Traverse. Never had any issues with either not recording at all.

I'd probably start by getting a good quality micro-SD card and ditching the one that comes with the camera and see if that helps with the non-recording. And also make sure it's set to loop record in settings. Otherwise it will stop recording once memory card gets full.

What memory card are you using? I bought this highly-rated Samsung one that is made specifically for dash cams (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WB1857W?th=1)

I did a format of my memory card yesterday and reset all settings to factory, did a test drive today and there's parts of the drive where nothing was recorded. So something is definitely not right, I have FitCamX on email so hopefully they'll have a solution.

Pretty sure this is the one I am using in mine. It's been a while since I took it out. But it holds about a month worth of files daily driving.

Got home from work yesterday and checked this, mine appears to be working fine. I will set a reminder to occasionally check this just to be sure in the future
