Location
Belgium, for two more weeks 🙌
Hey there,

I’m a diehard Jeep fan but we’re very interested in a full size pickup and I’m smitten with the forged blue metallic color.

I want a Big Horn 1500 with the off road package in that color. Praying I can get into one in a few months when I’m done with training and stuff.

I’m in the Air Force, currently in Belgium for two more weeks…coming back stateside for a while to go through some training before another move to the West! So I want/need a truck capable of the snowy winters. Though a Subaru would suffice, they’re killing that brand and I’ve got a family of four and we like our space so I want a full size truck or another Gladiator at least.

I do still love Jeeps and I really like the 41 color a lot but I think a full size truck would suit us better.

We’ve had five Jeeps since I came into the Air Force in 2012…two years ago we had two; a his and hers (blue and pink). Since getting stationed over here though we just have the one. While over here, we traded in her pink JLUW for a pink gladiator (ordered it). We love it and it’ll be around forever.

If anyone has pics of Big Horn 6’4” bed crew cabs with the off road package in forged blue, I’d love you forever. Ram’s search feature on their e-shop is *** at finding these for whatever reason. Or maybe it’s just a rare combination? Idk.

Anyway, see y’all around the forums!

Cheers!
- Kenny

Thanks guys!

Yeah our current JT Willys has the 3.6 v6 and it’s got roughly 8K miles on it, and it’s developed a gnarly valve tick since probably 6K miles 🙄

This is the first issue I’ve ever had with any of our Jeeps. A little bummed but we’ll get it sorted when we’re back stateside.

Hoping this Ram I’m lusting over could be my daily/family road tripper and her JT can be her daily/our adventure road tripper lol

I’d still love a project YJ to play with but that’s a year or more away after we move to our final location haha

Welcome! we are glad you are here.
I don't know what it is, but I've been looking at Jeeps.
I've probably spent 10 hours over the last 2 weeks looking and saving vehicles.
I've just been studying the market but I have to finish the truck first.
Good luck with search it did take me a while before I found one. You are doing the right thing by coming here before you get one

Yeah in the JT (Gladiators) and JL (Wranglers) the forums are extremely useful for ordering and/or finding the best deals so I’m hoping the same goes here.

I’m not above ordering one and waiting. I can be patient when the prize at the end is a great truck I specifically ordered for myself hahaha

When in California, I’ll probably sit in and test drive a few Big Horn’s with 4x4 and the off road package vs normal 4x4s to see if I really need the skids and stuff or not. I’d rather have it and not need it vs need it and not have it, so I think my mind is made up on that.

It’ll be if I want to try for a 5.7L or the 3.0 T inline 6. I’m honestly more interested in miles per gallon than HP/sound so call me weird lmao jeeps have absolute garbage MPG and the V8 would like be as bad or worse.

I saw on Mopar insider a week or so ago that Ram is bringing new colors to the 1500 to include a green that looks similar to Jeep’s 31…that may be interesting but idk if that’d be what I’d go for personally. Even though I love that color on the JLs and JTs.

I’d be interested in an interesting red or anvil-esc (like Earl on the Jeeps) but we’ll see what they do. Haven’t seen any color yet besides that 41-ish color.

Man I love the newest Wranglers and Gladiators…these interiors are the best they’ve done in the modern era of Jeep. BUT, they’re hella expensive. You can get great deals across the country like fully loaded JT Rubicons for $16K off of loaded Rubicon JLUs for $12K off (if not more). We paid $53K for our JT Willys last November and we could get a loaded JT Rubicon for less than that right now 🫠 oh well lmao such is life.
