I have a 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel with the 3.O I6. There are times I go out in the garage and I hear something electrical running, coming from the drivers side engine compartment. Nobody seemed to know what that was, and finally someone said it is an auxiliary water pump that runs from time to time. Has anyone else noticed this? II've had the truck shut off for a day or so, and go out there and that pump is running. I also hear some type of electric latch sound when i open the doors from time to time, or sometimes just go by the truck. Any ideas? I always get nervous when things run all the time, and how long it will last before something happens... Thanks!!!

Usually the auxiliary water pump will run after you shut off the engine.

This is it exactly. In the old days there was a turbo timer that would idle the engine for a period of time before shutting it off so that the turbos would cool off better.
Now there are electric water pumps to help with that task.
The turbos get very hot and it's important to cool them off after the engine is turned off.
It's also very important to change the oil in a timely manner since the engine is subjected to allot of heat.
