Good Morning,

I have a dilema that I'm hoping the forum could help with. Currently, I have the 12" Uconnect screen. I believe it is UConnect 4C. This head unit has a black connector on the back. I'm trying to replace it with a different screen as it has the lane departure and parallel parking buttons; however, that one has a grey connector. I'm assuming that there is a reason there is a difference, but I'm unable to get a concrete answer as to what I need to do to connect the new screen. Can I just use an adapter cable? See attached for connector colors. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Adapter cable is the easiest way. I think the black and gray have different key ways so they won’t just plug in. Also the pin locations are not in the same order, so you either repin or use the adapter that already does it so that it just plugs in and is done

I just pulled the unit out of the cab and got to the back of the computer it looks like a UC5 unit. I'm assuming the difference in pinout is related to the additional buttons.
