water leak

I have the same cracks on both sides. Got the trim off but broke the little tab that keeps the plastic end piece on. Anyone know the part number? Thanks in advance.

I tried to find them for weeks. They are not available seperatly. You need to purchase the complete trim piece. The little white ones in the middle of the trim are available individually.

I was just at Safelite having them confirm a rear window leak at the upper driver's side corner. They confirmed the leak and said the "rivets" that hold the roof trim in place fail and "I" need to place sealant around them. they would not do this. I have not pulled the trim off yet (which is why I'm here to find out how to do). I'm on my 3rd CHMSL, 4th rear window replacement and the shark fin has been sealed once. 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie. Very frustrating.

Mine is leaking again as well. Passenger corner. 3rd CHMSL also. I just thought about pulling the C pillar trim and headliner and trying to see where it's coming from. I tried to look when I had CHMSL out but didn't see water or signs of water. I've already gone around outside along the top with RTV. If you figure out how to pull the trim and/or headliner post please

I’ve been through one CHMSL and rear glass so far, but mine started in the passenger upper corner as well. Dealer skipped the diagnostic fee and sent me straight to their glass shop. Glass shop recommended the aftermarket glass (metal frame and cheaper) over replacement OEM glass to help prevent leaks on the future. Looks like F-150 glass shaped for the Ram.

Since that’s been installed, the water intrusion is better but it’s been a constant pain. The motor for the new window is on an extension bracket from the original mounting boss on the firewall and was vibrating/rattling on the rear of the cab. The switch is now backwards, and the moveable glass pane can vibrate at certain frequencies (music, bumps or exhaust note) unless cracked open.

I had both corners develop a leak, went down the sides with silicone a good ways, no more leaks.
