Hello all! I ran into an issue where I wanted to get all the build data from a vehicle. I also easily wanted to compare 2 vehicles because my dealer was trying to swap one for the other and I wanted to ensure the build was comparable.

Yes all the info can be obtained from the Mopar website but it wasn’t presented in a format useful for comparison so…. I built my own tool for this purpose.

https://fcatools.com/

Feel free to use it, provide feedback (I built that in 2 hours so there might be some bugs) and support the tool if you find it useful.

Thanks for taking the time to do this! Does this work for any Stellantis vehicle? I tried it with Grand Cherokee VIN's and it works for those too. I even compared a Grand Cherokee with a Ram 1500 and got interesting results lol.

I think it works. I just tried with two FIAT VINs and it correctly pulled the data.

Are you pulling build sheets from each VIN and comparing those with this tool? Or can you decode all that information from the VIN alone?

I think this is a really useful tool. You might want to contact a forum moderator to see about making it a sticky so it's not lost to oblivion.

I made some improvements overnight. Added build date details and the option to pull the Window Sticker (USA/Canada) and the Dealer Sticker (Canada Only).

Wouldn't pull the monroney on my 2020 HD, other resources do.

ETA: It's flakey, sometimes errors, sometimes just make/model, one time it pulled the monroney.

I didn't try an HD VIN. But then again this is a 5th gen Ram 1500 forum. It seems to work well for those from what little I've tried it.

I ran into an issue today as well and found a problem with the URLs to pull the window stickers. I tried to make the tool work across brands by reading the make from the build sheet. There are also variations if the truck was built for USA or Canada. The result is that it was pulling the window sticker from www.ram.com which sometimes work but mostly doesn't. I've fixed that an hour ago and all my recent tests worked correctly, it now opens it directly on www.ramtrucks.com.

Let me know if you still have issues and I will look into it. Now going to my dealer for pre-delivery inspection of my new 2025 Rebel (that my tool confirmed it was a comparable tool).

Seems to have helped/fixed the issue I was seeing.

Any chance you can dump that Build Sheet to other other formats? CSV, XML...

Works great!

Now I'm just pissed off again about the incorrect mileage the dealer reported in 2024... 10K high and I only put on 5-6K/year.

Worked on my 2025 ram 1500 limited, not on my friends 2020 ram 1500 Laramie???
