I'm glad I have a 21 just seems like the 25's have some trouble and I love my 21 Limited
If this display thing on the instrument cluster is the only thing I ever have to "complain" about, I will be incredibly happy!
I have put about 700 miles on the new truck over the weekend and I like it SO much more than I liked my '21 Limited EcoDiesel - and I liked the '21 ED (with GDE tune) WAY more than I liked my '19 Hemi.
The '25 just has a bunch of small improvements that add up to an overall feeling of a big upgrade.
The HO motor just stomps the crap out of the Hemi. It is *really* fun to drive.
The bigger screen is nice. But, being able to use native Wireless CarPlay and being able to run Google Maps or Waze in full screen mode is really nice. I had an Ottocast in my '21 to let me do wireless CP, but the factory support in the '25 works better. Walking away with my phone in my pocket and the truck running would often cause me to have to restart the Ottocast and also turn off/on the wifi and BT on my phone to get it going again. So far, no issues like that at all with the '25.
The massaging seats are nice. Not a huge deal. My '21 was plenty comfortable for long trips. But, the '25 is just a little nicer because of the massaging.
The Driver Assist is way better than I thought it would be. I had a Comma C3X running OpenPilot in my '21. It worked GREAT for autopiloting the truck. I used it 100% of the time. Even driving in downtown where I live.
The ADAS in the new truck is not as good as OP, but it's close enough that I am not really missing the Comma very much at all. The hands free driving on the Interstate works really well. But, the big surprise is how well it drives itself even when I'm on "unmapped" roads. I have to just let one hand rest on the steering wheel or it will complain after about 10 seconds. But, other than that, it seems to drive itself pretty much as well as the Comma drove my '21.
In contrast, the factory Lane Keep Assist in my '21 was absolutely useless. I could never just let go of the wheel and have it stay in its lane through a curve under pretty much any circumstances. Now, even on the "unmapped" roads, it will steer itself around curves just fine with no help (unless the curve is really tight for the speed I'm going).
Even the wireless charging pad is a nice improvement. In my '21, it would only charge 1 phone and, with my iPhone in a very thin case, it still generally would not charge it. I had to take the phone out of its case to use the wireless charging pad in my '21.
In the '25, it charges my phone in its case no problem at all, AND there is a second wireless charging pad so when my g/f is with me, her phone and my phone can both be there side-by-side getting wirelessly charged at the same time.
The HO motor is really quiet, too. Even when I have the pedal on the floor to make a pass, I only hear the motor if the music on the stereo has some kind of lull. I like that. With the Hemi, it was pretty quiet just going down the road at a steady speed, but I could really hear it whenever accelerating more than just "gently". The HO seems to be as quiet at full throttle as the Hemi was at a steady speed. The ED was quieter than the Hemi (with the windows up) - especially comparing full throttle vs full throttle. But, the HO is quieter, at all times.
That is all how they sound from in the cab, with the windows up. I currently live in a 3rd floor apartment. My g/f has already commented that she could always hear me come home in my ED. It was quiet in the cab (with the windows up), but it was not so quiet from outside the truck. Now, she can't hear me drive up at all.
I was talking to my gf on the phone on Friday while I was driving 80 MPH on I-20. She said that I sounded like I was sitting in my living room talking to her where if I was on the phone with her in my old truck she could always hear substantial road noise. She could understand me in my old truck just fine - but she could always hear that noise. I talked to my dad while going 80 on I-20 last night on my way home. He confirmed what she said. He said he could hear me really well with no background noise and that it was quieter and more clear than when I talked to him in my old truck.
And did I mention how awesome the HO motor is??

passing somebody while going down a 2-lane road, or getting ahead of someone to my right when I'm in the left lane and my lane is ending... it really makes the Hemi feel like a dog. (which it should with the HO motor having an extra 145 HP and 110 ft-lbs of torque).
I loved my '19/Hemi. I loved my '21/ED w/GDE tune even more. But, I love this '25 even more than either of those. It is awesome!
