2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

My blind spot indicators on mirrors have stayed on at least twice with service required warning but not AEB warning. They also cycled off after a few stop/starts. The AEB warning light and hands free not working has been in dry conditions, clean vehicle, and no car washes recently.

I took my truck to the dealer yesterday for the BSM issue. Light was on the day before but alas when I started the truck in the morning, everything functioned fine. I got the dreaded could not replicate the issue.... They offered to keep the truck overnight and try again - but I deferred. No way I was gonna do this and wait forever. They did say I could bring it in when it was disabled and they would be able to work from there.

BTW - I still do really like the truck. And the hands free driving and active driving assist work pretty well IMHO and the vast majority of the time. I do feel like the hands free driving can sometimes crowd the line a little - but I can "bend" it back with slight steering wheel pressure when that happens. If I don't do anything, it never goes over too far, but it just bugs me if not lined up exactly how I would do it.

I have this exact thing going on with the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and also it disabling Automatic Emergency Braking. Mine seems tied to taking it through the car wash or driving in really wet weather. Mine does not reset upon restart, but seems to resolve itself after a day or two. Also when it happens, the BSM seems to enable then disable a few times as if there was a bad connection in the system before finally staying off. I then have the constant lights on in the mirrors until the BSM system resolves itself at some point - usually at some restart a day or two later. Truck is a tthe dealer right now for it.

Interestingly - I have had park sense be a little flaky and my proximity wakeup lights don't seem to work. So likely same issue you have. Let me know if you get to a resolution.
I get the same issues and have since I got my truck in January. No rhyme or reason to it. I drove to Texas a few weeks ago and was eating BBQ at Brantley’s in midland, had been there for almost 2 hours before we went to get back into the truck. From the moment I turned it on, I then got all the same errors, lane assist turning off, auto braking disabling but then got an additional one I haven’t seen before. The drowsy driving icon lit up. Wouldn’t clear until I got to Sonora and let it sit for hours. No clue what that one was all about since I hadn’t even been driving, but all of this crap is obviously a common issue that they need to fix. It always clears after being shut off for an extended period of time but something is messed up.

When Ram built my truck, they put a limited badging on the left driver door. It took them until two weeks ago to finally have a tungsten named part to send me. That was ridiculous because you know they were building new ones every day and they couldn’t send that simple part in a shorter time than almost 4 months? Other than those issues, the truck is nice.

The cluster, and the HUD (if you have it configured right), will show the status of hands-on or hands -off. It shows a steering wheel with either hands on it, or hands having near the wheel (but not on it).
Thanks I will check and see if I have it right and most likely I don't...lol

So far after having a flash update on mine it's been running and working perfect at now 4500 miles. It's averaging 17.9 MPG which in not as goos as my old Ram 5.7 bot only about an MPG or two difference and I really enjoy this HO Turbo Charged 6 cylinder! It runs like a bat of hell when I punch it! Good luck and safe driving for all, thanking all of you for listing your experiences on here.

Thanks for the suggestion! The truck is supposed to come with 2 keyfobs, so there should be no cost to me. I'll call RAM customer care and make my complaint!
My keyfob fiasco continues!! Called RAM customer support and it took weeks before I got a response. Started working with a representative and went through numerous attempts to get a new keyfob configured, to no avail! First they replaced the RF hub, didn't work. The engineer indicated that a second keyfob was already programmed to the new hub, and you could not delete it and add a new keyfob. According to him, you can only program 2 keyfobs per RF hub. Seems really odd to me, but ok. The next story was that the dealer must order an RF hub KIT, which should come with an RF hub and two keys already programmed, but when they tried, no such thing exists. The next story given was that some keyfobs had bad software installed, so the dealer got two brand new keyfobs. Neither one could be programmed. The RAM customer service person I was dealing with got replaced with a new person, which sucked! RAM closed my original case, and indicated we needed to create a new case. My suspicion here is they didn't want a case to be open for so long! I'm still waiting for my dealer to submit a new case! This has now been going on since Last November when I purchased the truck, and I still do not have a 2nd keyfob! I've spent over 15 hours at the dealership trying to get this resolved. Extremely dissapointed in Stellantis and RAM at this point! Considering lemon law action! Oh, and I was without my vehicle for over a month because they screwed things up so much the first time they tried to add a new keyfob!

Any updates? Curious if any of the issues were resolved, and if so, how.
I have my truck back and the issue with the roof was a bad pinch weld near the rear passenger C pillar. The car play dropouts were cleared by system resets, and at least a couple of the other minor issues could not be duplicated (no codes). In the end, the noise from the C pillar was a major aggravation and it's resolved. My local dealer service team does a great job (Lou Fuzs, O'Fallon MO).

Thanks for the update. Glad you got the big issue resolved.
CarPlay dropouts resolved with reset? Like the reset we can do by holding in the two buttons? Or something the dealer has to do?

I’d really like to get the proximity wake-up to work. Did they just dismiss this issue because there are no codes? It's easily recreated.

Picked up my Tungsten today. I was a little bummed that my unit did not have the bed utility group, but I knew I'd at least still get the 115V outlet as a consequence of having the Ramboxes. Was looking into adding the bed step, divider, and tie-down hooks. To my surprise when I pulled back the tonneau I discovered the tie-down hooks already installed as well. I assume similar to the AC outlet with the Ramboxes this is a consequence of the tri-fold tonneau needing the tie-down rail to lock shut?

just have to jump in here - still want him to answer tho. I just cannot imagine that it doesn't leak. Mine didn't leak terribly, but you could fit a small bird thru some of the gaps. If it was pouring and you're on the highway, I'm sure it would soak anything at the end of the bed.
I ended up putting in a gasket kit, and it has been a huge help with both rain and dust.

I haven’t had it in conditions to leak yet. I don’t expect it to be watertight, at least not from the factory. I’ll probably replace the tonneau with a Retrax at some point and add the gasket kit others have mentioned.

I replaced my bak flip cover that came with the truck with a Retrax Pro and it has no leakage at all even through the car washes. I wish I knew someone who wanted this new bal-flip I took off since its not going back on my truck. I had to replace rails too for the Retrax and leave the bak-flip cover with its original rails.
