Aftermarket Parts for Reliability

Hello, I'm new to owning a Ram and do not have a lot of experience with Chrysler. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn V6. I've been researching a lot on what parts I can swap out for preventative maintenance and longevity, I want to be sure I didn't miss anything. The big one I found was the Dorman oil filter housing, which I am going to get soon. Going to also get K&N air filter as well. I'm trying to ask is there any other plastic parts in these trucks other than the oil filter housing that would be beneficial in the long run to replace for an aluminum product? Thank you.

Open your hood and take a look at all the plastic components that used to be metal in previous generations of vehicles. Intake manifolds, radiators, transmission pans just to name three. Basically, if you see a plastic part and are concerned about it, look to see if there are any aftermarket metal equivalent components available. I don't know much about the Pentastar engine you have, but have read about the oil filter housing sometimes being an issue. But other than that there hasn't been a rash of failures of any of these components.

Longevity and K&N are mutually exclusive.

I would grab DRY filter over oiled any day. Oiled is known to let dirt into the engine.

I just put that filter housing on the van. do not get a cheap knock off spend the money on the dorman. they also make a few other parts to replace the plastic
