Should I lift my 2019 1500 Laramie (4X2) and fit bigger tires?

Hello everyone!

I need new tires so I'm considering changing the look of my truck to make it more aggressive while at it. A while back I ran into a truck at the gas station similar to mine with 35 inch tires and his setup looked awesome (pics below).
I honestly don't know anything about truck suspension so I wanted to ask the experts if its worth it or not. From what I read, I would need to lift by about 3 inches to be able to fit tires that big.

This truck is rarely ever offroad and I live in south Florida so its mostly sunny with a chance of rain. I do tow a 22ft boat sometimes and a small motorcycle trailer. Anything I should be aware of before getting into this?

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

I'll be doing BDS3" lift with 285/65R20 34.6X11.2 as I don't want a full 35X12.5 on my 19 Laramie. Do NOT use a spacer lift. They are garbage, regardless what other say.

Go with a suspension swap lift ONLY for a proper working suspension.

If you're sticking with OEM 22's, you'll need to run a spacer most likely on the front to clear UCA.

Thanks for the reply, and I forgot to mention I’d probably ditch the 22 and go with the Fuel Rebel in a size 20x10 with a - 18mm offset. Which seems to work for others accroding to american trucks website...

Is your truck also a 4x2 or a 4x4? It looks like most BDS kits are for 4x4 only. I was looking at the Readylift SST 3.5 lift kit. Is this an example of a spacer lift? Should I avoid it?

you can use 4wd suspension on 2wd since the only difference is the lack of front diff, driveshaft (front t-case to front diff) and the cv axles.

that said, for looks, run whatever suspension lift you want as long as it's not pucks.
2wd is also perfect for long travel conversion too since you will not need to worry about CV.

I lifted my 4x2. You can see it in my profile picture.
